Am I misunderstanding the clause here? I felt like Man City would always have a chance to buy him back? Or is there reason to believe we could’ve pinched him?
-
It stings but that doesn’t mean you necessarily have to blame us, does it? Man City had an advantage built in.

Preach, it's genuinely giving me mental health problems.
-
It would be a worse error if it wasn't for Man City's first refusal clause, surely? I think it was reasonable to think they wouldn't be interested in buying him and wouldn't exercise their option. Obviously I don't know the inner workings of the conversations.

Nothing personal, I’m just not on twitter to avoid this dross. I expect a higher standard of content from N-O

For a striker this always seemed the most likely option, assuming we keep Isak obviously.

There literally is no reason to be reposting shite tweets from Liverpool fans.

Surely the fact we’ve signed Elanga automatically makes it the best transfer window for years?
-
This is assuming Gordon leaves?

They literally can't do a city. For me it’s more like they don’t want to break the rules because they’re in it to sportswash their reputation.

I think he's already at the going somewhere else stage.

Not on a Sunday, surely.

Minteh for me. -
Yeah of course, if the window closes and we haven’t improved then obviously it’s a massive failure. I play football with some people better than Longstaff and a better fitness record than Wilson. But it’s not a failure yet and I’m not against trying for better quality than just a slight improvement. FWIW I think we’ve already significantly improved but obvs Elanga won’t be enough at the end of the window.

I mean, nobody can disagree with this, there are a lot of footballers in the world. But we do have to choose a few to go for.

Nah of course, but you need a mix. We need more young players and a deeper squad, but we also need top quality.
