  1. It would definitely be an unusual move for a sponsor to buy some advertising space then not use it. Would love to see it mind.
  2. Barry McHugh83 @bluenosestew that Bairn is fuckin ugly!! Must be yours yi fuckin twat
  3. He's linking quite a lot of copyright infringing videos on there.
  4. Whey! Someone who listens to an opposing view and bothers to not resort to complete polar reaction. I for one am made up at the league position but not the expense of the one thing that all fans uninanimously love. It's a abhorrent decision. Totally agree, I agree with the majority of the stuff Ashley has done but I don't have a problem with specific action against this particularly bad decision.
  5. Can't remember a more predictable result than the Sunderland game - so obvious what was going to happen.

    Alan Pardew

95% of his crosses are fucking dreadful. 21,25% completion rate with his crossing (17/80). Better than I thought tbh. Would be interesting to see how that compares with other wide players in the league. Can't imagine it ever gets much above 30%.
  7. I would play that team as well toptoon, maybe with HBA and Jonas swapped or swapping, but it's highly unlikely Pardew will. Can't see him leaving out Simpson sadly, though I'd love to see it.

I've heard it all now like, that's insane. Replace Pardew in the summer, after possibly our best finish in recent memory? And replace him with who exactly? Fabio Capello's available I suppose.
  9. If we're going to give someone that free central role it has to be HBA.
  10. Guthrie's worst spell for us was on the right. He's slightly fitter now, but I still don't want to see it.

We don't really have many attacking players, Ba has been class and HBA hasn't been given a chance. Now we have Cisse. I would say that's about it. Cabaye seems to prefer to sit deep and Jonas seems to have forgotten how to attck for the most part. We do need an injection of attacking intent from somewhere (Hatem!).

At the end of the day I don't think fans even want 'nice football' necessarily. They want exciting football with attacking intent, and games that are lively and NUFC are on top. At the same time they also don't want us to give the ball away trying risky stuff, and often slaughter players who do that. I personally think playing Ben Arfa more and trying to keep the ball down is the best way to achieve that, and I think Pardew will do once he has all the right players available.

    Ryan Taylor

Ryan Taylor benefits a lot from not playing like, never seen such a bad player be clamoured for. Don't get me wrong, he offers a threat from set pieces, but to say he's a better fullback than Simpson or midfielder than Obertan/HBA is going too far IMO.

Speaking right now you've probably got a point, we do have some players that are better than we expected, therefore we might not technically be overachieving. But still, being 6th in the table has to be a great result, and it doesn't really make sense to revise our expectations upwards so quickly and use that to criticise.

Massively overachieving?! Well we're having a great season that is beyond most people's expectations. Maybe massively is exaggerating, but you know what I mean.
  16. Obertan has only started one game since being dropped, I wouldn't say we're back to him being first choice yet.

You've got a point to be fair, the criticism of a team that is massively overachieving is strange, and probably mainly due to the manner of the thrashing by Spurs. Like all football fans we're highly fickle and exaggerate our positive and negative feelings/opinions based on results from week to week.
  18. Is it right that they've only signalled their intention to go into administration if they lose the tax case against them? Could it be an attempt to stop them being ruled against in that?
  19. Fucking hell man, what day today has been. Didn't realise they got out of it the first time around.
  20. Dislike the pseudo-religious stuff that goes on between Celtic and Rangers, but still very surprised to see this and think it's a shame. Has to be down to rank mismanagement though surely? How can the biggest club in the league go bust? Some of the financial situations that have been allowed to develop in football beggar belief. Hope they survive for the fans.
  21. There's another one of those Ryder chats next week.

And we knew we were going to get beat beforehand, the fact is they have a much better team than us, especially when we're missing Cabiote.

Those quotes are a bit random like, they don't even say what question he was asked. The one about 451 in particular doesn't make sense unless we know what he's responding too. If he's saying he didn't play 451 because of external criticism, he's showing terrible weakness. If he's saying he didn't play it because he didn't have the personnel available, then that's fine and we can debate the rights and wrongs.
  24. He's not defensive per se, he's just conservative and likes to keep the game tight. Also, he has achieved 6th place without Ben Arfa and is reluctant to tinker too much with the system. Also, out fullbacks need a lot of protection (in theory). That Ryder chat is appalling, what the fuck is he doing pretending to have any expertise or knowledge of what's going on with Ben Arfa?
