    Lookalikes

That Krul one is unreal. What are the chances of two people looking like that? It's madness I tell you.
  2. Definitely, Suarez scores great goals but I wouldn't bet on him getting more than Ba.
  3. Wonder what I should call my perfectly legal offshore bank account? Pick the name of your first pet and your first house number, or something. Dino31 for me, not bad.
  4. Wouldn't be the end of the world if Cabaye didn't play every game. He works his arse off and does look a bit burned out at times. He is better than Guthrie though.

    Alan Pardew

Have I logged into a forum in an alternate universe where it's even debatable whether Allardyce was total unmitigated shite?
  6. Would be gutted if we lost him without him having a fair go. Crazy to make such a brilliant signing and then waste his talent.
  7. How hard can it be to get a head and shoulders photo of someone against a plain background? He's at every training session FFS.
  8. Aye, he's been brilliant for them for a while now. Really evolved his game since he was just destroy/pass sideways.

I honestly thought it was impossible to win a game with a midfield of Perch, Raylor and Guthrie. Like you say, solidity and graft has got us far this season, and even though I want to see more of HBA I can see why Pardew has valued those qualities above all else so far.
  10. I bet the cat cost about £25m.

Everyone keeps saying we don't have an amazing squad, yet we're fifth in the league despite missing a few keys players for a while too. Surely by any normal measure that means Pardew is doing a great job. Whether he's the one to lead us onto bigger and better things remains to be seen, but he has earned his chance to try.
  12. HBA is miles ahead of almost all of our current players in terms of ability. The question is whether he fits into the system. My view is that he can, Pardew thinks it's better to go for a more conservative option. So far he's getting results, so I guess he can claim to be right. I still think now we're safe from relegation we may as well cut loose a bit more. But then again, if we got into the Champions League I would explode with excitement, so it depends.

Eh? You seem to be missing a key plot point. As usual. Such a window licker at times.

Aye I deleted that straight away, soz.
  16. Aye, Simpson looked like he was running in deep mud.
  17. HBA isn't a "show pony" at all, what a stupid phrase.
  18. He hasn't had a change to prove that though.
  19. Some of Hitler's speeches were more diplomatic than Souness.
  20. I think this new name is dying a death already. Sometimes you see SDA in match reports on websites and in papers, but everyone I've heard talking about it still calls it SJP, including on BBC Radio. I think the best course of action is not to complain and draw attention to it. Just let it be forgotten.
  21. Aye, he's not an advocate of bad football, he is just getting results with a certain system and is reluctant to tinker with it too much. With Tiote and Cabaye feeding Cisse and Ba we will start playing some better football again. I just wish HBA is part of it, because for me he's the best player we've had for years.

I will be laying the blame squarely at Mike Ashley's feet if we fail to win the league and there's nothing you can do about it Ian Deluded Geordies and their unrealistic expectations. Etc etc. I just love the way you take it so personally whenever anyone slags off the club that you're now issuing pre-emptive strikes to make sure it doesnt happen Ah right, never entered my mind to be honest. I was just saying that it would be brilliant to finish 7th. Genuinely wasn't thinking about criticism of the club, I was just saying we should remember what would constitute a good season.
  23. You articulated it fine, people just like to have a scoff. FWIW I don't think there's such a thing as where any club 'should be', throughout history clubs come and go from the top spots. But we're a massive club and we should aim high. As long as we don't expect too much or fail to give credit for a good season I don't see the problem with it.
