I would like to win the league cup but I’m not sure you can still consider it a major trophy. I would be really happy but if we’re honest it is second rate. Guess the main reason to win it is just to get that winning feeling that big clubs have. -

Well it's a friendly we've arranged to get people up to speed for the season, you can't just play the reserves. Otherwise why bother having the game at all? -
Interesting question isn't it. You could argue that he did that out of necessity at Brighton because they don't have much money. We have loads. Then again, obviously it's better to get these stars earlier in their careers. Guess it'll probably be a bit of both, smart signings like Bruno combined with the odd blockbuster.
-
I wasn't really expecting Bruno to get a game for Brazil. Tite has his ideas, he obviously didn't favour Bruno when he was in France. While he has been class for Newcastle, international managers don't usually change their preferences that often. Don't really see why we should be too bothered, hopefully he'll be so class for us that he gets in easily next time.

I mean, if it's clubs it can't be a world cup
-
And probably cheaper.
-
You could deffo leave the atmosphere.
-
Only just came in to replace Rabiot, hadn't seen him play before that.
-
Call it the bear pit or something, I like it. Geordie colosseum.
-
Love the idea of even considering a ground that’s over 100 miles away Could poach quite a lot of Scottish fans I suppose.
-
Noticed that myself For the record I would be completely opposed.
-
Wouldn't wish Mike Ashley on anyone. Like I said before, I told my Coventry mate that it would be better to liquidate the club and start again.
-
It's kind of interesting to have a Portuguese national team competing in a league mind.
-
Be up for that as long as I'm not sitting under the overhang bit.
-
Well I mean, obvs this is a matter of opinion. But he's one of the best DMs in the "best league in the world", so that's a start.
-
I like Philips too, but they're different styles. I would definitely take Philips if available, it's such a shame he went somewhere he's not going to play.
-
As someone in CM who is an almost guaranteed success and one of the best in the world in his position. Non?
-
I was hoping he died horribly Only joking Alan, sorry if you are dead.
-
I mean, the only option was to move grounds, no? Not exactly realistic.
-
Just a bit. He's about 7 times the player that Longstaff is, don't think anyone would even compare them.
-
Maddison is not so different from Rice as a signing, except maybe for contract situation. Both very hyped English players at rival PL clubs. Not saying we can/will pay him what he wants and he would choose us anyway, obvs.
-
Hard to overstate how class a signing Rice would be. Casemiro to Man Utd is the closest example I can think of. Have to think he’ll end up somewhere like Chelsea though.
-
It was really weird how he wasn't given a proper chance at Man Utd. Shows how dysfunctional the was I suppose.
-
Always very nervous of the Dutch forwards but I haven't seen Gakpo that much TBF.
-
Both are class IMO, rather Stones since he plays more on the right side.
