It’s not a trivial decision to replace him, probably part of the reason finding the right signings is proving hard. It is a risk to remove all the running and the work he does, even if you might get better end product from someone else. After Brighton I thought we were desperate for signings, today I’m not so bothered. Guess the truth is somewhere in-between.

You can't wait for the absolute risk-free perfect chance to play a through ball... you realise your mate is making a run and you back yourself to get the ball to him. Absolutely brilliant performance yesterday, fantastic stuff. Even end of last season you could see he was trying to adapt his game, hopefully this performance showed the kinds of results he could get if he really follows through with it. Could've easily ended up with 4 assists, which is just silly against Man City.
