  1. It’s not just kicking that Dubravka is weak in. When things are going against us he often looks shaky and makes errors. I don’t think he always radiates confidence from the back. Whether Hendo is the right upgrade, I’ve not seen him enough to say.
  2. Except that speculating is the whole point of this thread
  3. I was wondering if we might do that with Targett as a LCB. But not sure what the overall setup would look like. Lots of fullbacks have converted to wide CBs in the last few years.
  4. I want to be in pot 1 because I didn’t buy a season ticket under Ashley, when there were thousands available. Just seems ludicrous to try and categorise groups of more or less deserving fans. As long as we do everything we can to stop touts, that should be it. Everyone who wants a ticket to use so they can go to all the games is the same as anyone else in my opinion.
  5. Guess it’s important to remember that Targett was an opportunistic signing. He became available because Digne went to Villa, so it’s quite likely he wasn’t on Howe’s long-term list of signings at all.
  6. Trippier is more a Man City fullback than a Liverpool fullback. He’s excellent offensively but more because of what he can do on the ball. He can’t do what the likes of Robertson can. Makes it interesting if the plan is to have a more flying FB on the other side. Not that I’ve seen Lodi play, maybe he can do both styles.
  7. Targett would be stupid to sign to compete with someone else.
  8. It’s not as bad as it gets, clearly. You can get 0 in both My eyes tell me he’s much better than Murphy and slightly better than Fraser. Even just his interchange play with others, and his pressing, is miles better. Would be interested to know if any stats back this up but I can’t be bothered to find them.
  9. Yeah, he basically did nothing. I have absolutely no doubt that Rafa would have got the required points eventually.
  10. Photo of the holder on the ticket, checked at the turnstile?
  11. I don’t think any attempt to decide who deserves one more can work. They do need to restrict resale and number per person though.
  12. Loads of clubs have one mind. I’ve had for about 4 or 5 different clubs myself. But you’re right, it obviously just favours people who have extra money to buy themselves a better position in the queue.
  13. Me too, but not sure it’ll be physically possible. I’m just terrified of another period like when I was a kid, when going to the match was out of the question. Guess the stadium was a lot smaller then.
  14. Are you thinking an existing membership will have any influence over whether you get a ST? Best money I ever spent if so
  15. I do think we sometimes focus too much on his mistakes versus the things he does well. That said, he does need to produce much more (but so do a lot of people).
  16. Well true, but everyone in our attacking unit has pretty poor numbers. I’m not saying he’ll be starting next season, but out of our forwards I would keep him around.
  17. This is what makes me think we see Bruno as a deeper-lying player. Also how he was used after Shelvey dropped out of the team.
  18. Miggy is definitely the one I’d keep though.
  19. Well, it would be doable, but it has downsides as well. Really the only way to solve this satisfactorily is to get a 75-80k stadium. 50k season tickets and a few left over.
  20. Yeah not sure, renewals are a whole other story. You could even argue that everyone only gets one season.
  21. Yeah, same with Wimbledon.
  22. A ballot is the fairest but I don’t know how it would be done for friends and family who want to sit together. Maybe you can form groups of 2. Otherwise they need really innovative solutions like allowing someone to go for 5 games and someone else for the next 5. Stopping season ticket holders from buying extra tickets etc. Suspect they’ll just go for general sale because it’s the easiest.
  23. It’s just bad luck isn’t it? Nobody knew when the takeover was going to happen. Some people even kept their season tickets but stopped going, insuring themselves against the situation we’re in now. They got lucky, the people who decided not to buy a ticket because they hated Ashley got unlucky. It’s a really difficult situation because loads of people will be disappointed however you do it. FWIW I would be massively annoyed if NUST and NUFC cut a deal to favour a particular group of supporters over any other. On a personal level, I could have bought a season ticket under Ashley but I didn’t. I consider that just as much of a protest as giving one up. Or at least almost as much.
  24. BTW Bromley won the FA Trophy, 1-0 over Wrexham with goal machine Michael Cheek scoring the winner. Andy Woodman manager or course, club seems to be generally in a great place.
  25. What about the people who didn’t buy one out of protest, when there were loads available?
