TBF it’s not really the fans’ job to scout footballers. I agree with your main point and that’s why I fully accept the Wood signing. But it’s a shame he’s turned out to be so ineffective. Admittedly we also don’t cross the ball much or retain possession to allow people to get up with him. So it’s not all his fault.
-
I’m not convinced he really made that much difference to whether we stayed up or not TBH. I can can understand why we had to go for him but in the end it’s closer to a bad signing than a good one. Not sure if he’ll even be useful off the bench next season. Maybe to rest the main striker in games we’re already winning.

Manchester City 5-0 Newcastle United (08/05/2022)

We just don’t have the athleticism and sharpness to close people down fast enough, and we don’t have ability to retain position and build attacks. Always will lead to potentially big defeats against anyone who keeps the ball and can create chances around the box. Hopefully will be less of the case next season, I really hope we try to transition away from counter-attacking to playing with the ball. -

There needs to be a submission rule in football so we can all get some time back. Pointless fixture for now. -
Can we all agree a nationwide fan amnesty on “your support is fucking shit” and “is this a library”? So thick… every away support sings it to every home support and then has it sung to them in return. We get it, away fans are louder than home fans.

I’ll confirm him.

Put my bro on standby.

I just meant the experience of going to the game, being treated like a human being who deserves good customer service. Like I said, if you prefer the traditional football experiment that’s also valid.
-
Plenty of people watch regular season games and love them man The fan experience is streets ahead as well, as is the quality of the merchandise, food and drink and that kind of thing. Of course if your prefer things gritty and real, Portsmouth v Milwall in the playoffs is always going to win out.

That’s the worst football team ever assembled. -
Season ticket holders shouldn’t be able to buy extra individual match tickets, and membership should probably end. As to how you sell season tickets, haven’t a clue. A ballot maybe, but then I don’t know how you deal with friends and family who want to go together. Might even have to go as extreme as only allowing a season ticket for a year or two… after which you have to go back into the ballot.

Translation from French isn’t that difficult, it’s a poor excuse -
It’s causing me genuine anxiety worrying about getting a season ticket. Would be life-changing to be able to go to games reliably without scrabbling around for individual tickets.
-
How can anyone know what form he’s been in? He’s barely played.
-
I thought he was more central.
-
Do like him but not sure where he’d play. In midfield protected by Joe and Bruno? Anyway, Eddie knows.
-
I could possibly get my brother if needed, he’s a goalie.
-
Everything alright for this?
-
I don’t think scoring the max goals should be the point of football though, attacking and defending both have their merits. Overall I guess it would make very little difference since there’s such a small chance of GD/GS being needed at all.

Tend to agree, then again you can’t have a starting forward who produces so few goals and assists if you want to be a top team. He’ll be in the squad next season though, so let’s hope he does look better with better players around him. -
Fair play for saving enough pocket money to come to Newcastle though.

The men don’t need to follow him around, they’re able to close in from their normal positions because he holds onto the ball for a long time. Or he turns a double team into a triple team himself by running into another defender. That’s how it looks to me anyway. Also it’s very difficult for anyone to overlap him with confidence because of how he moves. -
Dock them 3 points.

They’re not similar at all are they? I don’t get the comparison. Zaha is pretty direct.
