Random thought from today - Dean Ashton is a great commentator. I listened to the match on TalkSport driving up from London and he was excellent. He was a clever player so I suppose it makes sense.

Allan Saint-Maximin (now playing for Fenerbahce, on loan from Al-Ahli)

I thought it was understandable to give him a rest in a difficult away game if he needs one. We’ll benefit if we batter Brentford, basically. -
I wasn’t brave enough to post that he would make a good CM. That said, I thought the same about Ritchie and I’m 99% sure that’s nonsense.
-
He doesn’t look a good signing at the moment, but I can see why we went for him. Would’ve been disastrous if we’d gone for someone like Weghorst instead and hadn’t managed to do the deal. Goal would do him good.

You should see the Spurs superstore in their new ground, think I’ve mentioned it before. It’s massive, probably about the size of somewhere like WH Smith in Newcastle. Packed on a matchday with people buying 100s of pounds of stuff. -

Yeah, I don’t like that any shop belongs to our kit maker. It should be a club shop, owned and run by the club. Needs a plentiful supply of mugs, keyring, prints and all that shite. Not just clothes. -

Fuck off -
ASM is better coming from a wider position as well.
-
Made Doku my 2nd or 3rd signing on FIFA. Quickly becomes one of the best players in the world and gets about 30 goals and 30 assists a season. May not be realistic but bodes well

Don't think they've said anything about ST yet. I don't even know when they usually go on sale.
-
The book's decent!
-
Unless they upgrade the infrastructure it will definitely fail.
-
Going to matches didn't even seem a possibility when I was growing up. Managed a few European games here and there.
-
I think he's a decent player, just got screwed over by being signed by Rafa to play in a system that no longer exists and with players who have been sold. I'd like to think he can contribute, but the ship might have sailed now.

Don't mind that, I don't necessarily think we need another defender mind. If Manquillo is fit you could just swap him in for Trippier. -
It's a miracle we're still in the Premier League.
-
Yeah, but even then, we don’t play that.
-
He just doesn’t seem to have a clear role. I don’t know where you would play him. I like him and I want to see him do well, but I don’t know how he fits in. As a sub playing behind Wood maybe, would give that a try now and then.
-
Desperate for an ST now I’m moving back. Probably combine the camping out with going online from the queue

Would’ve thought it’s much better than that, good post. -
You’d have to investigate each site, yeah. Can’t guarantee it’s possible. I think Spurs did some lowering of the pitch.
-
Would be devastating for the city to move the ground out. Absolutely cannot happen.

He’s always seemed like a genuine lad, just limited physically and tended to have problems with focus. He was also maybe sacked off a bit too early by some managers, albeit for understandable reasons. Not sure how long he’ll last, but fair play for the work he’s put in since Howe arrived. Assumed it would be the end for him. FWIW the love Bruce gave him seems like it was the wrong kind, and he also needs someone to work him hard but fair to get him to perform.
