He's unbelievable. The one player that must be kept at all costs.

Aaron Ramsdale: return to Southampton confirmed
AyeDubbleYoo replied to The Prophet's topic in Football
Not convinced he should have saved that shot like. I think only a really world class keeper spots how Dorgu is moving, through a crowd of players, and is decisive enough to move to a position where he can be confident of diving down into the far corner and keeping it out. -
He just scored 2 goals making exactly the right runs. No striker is ever going to be on the end of every ball.
-
Just since everyone is getting their rants out tonight, Murphy is fucking awful and has no place in a decent PL team. Never seen anyone give the ball away 2 or 3 times in one phase of play
-
I don't see why he can't play on the right now TBH, he's being told to stay wide and cross anyway, which is surely easier on that side. FWIW I think both of our wingers should be playing inside closer to Woltemade in most situations, a bit like Cunha did today. But if they're being told to hug the touchline then I don't see what we lose with Gordon right.
-
What's this based on? Everything I've seen online suggest him and his wife love the toon.
-
Woltemade made exactly the right moves for his previous 2 goals, he's obviously aware and working on it.
-
Pretty sure the idea was Wissa would take the main goal load for the first few months so we weren't gambling too much on someone completely unproven in the PL.
-
And the conclusion is?
-
We've rarely been permanent midtable TBF, mostly been Europe or relegation.
-
Fair enough, I was just saying what the aim of the window was. Agree or disagree, probably merits to both.

I want us to play better but I don’t know what I actually want Howe to do tactically. It’s easy to say things should change but I don’t really know what to. Also accept that it’s incredibly difficult to change something you’ve been working on for years in the middle of a season with matches every 3-4 days. Has to get summer for another crack IMO.
-
The idea was to improve the depth though, quite obviously.
-
He would look better playing inside like Cunha and Mount were today IMO. So would Barnes.

Manchester United 1-0 Newcastle United (26/12/25) | post-match from pg. 54

It’s hard to assess us at the moment, partly because it’s so frustrating. We’re trying and in some ways our performances aren’t ‘that’ bad. But then we also show a fundamental lack of quality from so many players making mistakes, playing tentatively, miscontrolling and missing passes. I’m starting to think that we need so many players to be playing above their level to be a top team. Otherwise we sadly just aren’t one. I like nearly all of our players but we might need a sizeable overhaul to really be confident of beating these poor teams that we ‘should’ be beating. -

It’s all Murphy can do though, so he kind of has to. -

Very annoying how we’re constantly giving poor teams a break. Then again, we sometimes look like we could play for a week and not score a goal. -

Reckon this will be a good win for us. -
Yes, he’s absolutely class on the ball, miles ahead of anything we have.
-
Botman is still one of my favourite signings since the takeover. Just to go and get a Rolls Royce CB like that was class. Haven’t given up hope he’ll come back well.
-
Same, and very athletic. If we’re looking for a rotation option with Hall the first choice then we won’t be looking at top drawer options I would assume.
-
Is Van Dijk quick? Not really. It’s overrated for a CB, they should never get into a situation where they’re relying on pace.
-
Always interesting where people draw the line about temporarily vs permanently injured. You don’t see people talking about selling Livramento anywhere near as much.
-
True, but what we would have if he can stay fit is 2 excellent starting CBs.
-
I’d be concerned with being able to get Osula back if he rips up the Bundesliga than guaranteeing a sale.
