  1. Unless the add ons are easy to achieve 60m isn't great in today's inflated market no idea what book value we have left for him.
  2. Assume Froggy you expect the wage bill to rise now your back in the champions league on existing/retained players? Appreciate that some legacy old contracts before the partial takeover may be structured differently and some higher wages players are leaving/will leave but assume most will get a built in bump? No idea how any of this stuff works just odd reports in the media or older ex-pro players revealing clauses and bonuses but would assume your players base wages will rise based on qualifying?
  3. It's what craig no hope has reported think we paid 45m after addons for him
  4. Taking out/ignoring the sell on clause that Everton have a 15m profit on a player who since his move is now a regular England starter and played at champions league level doesnt sound that great. Clearly time for him to move on as he's no longer 100% committed to the cause and we need to raise funds but we would be mad to accept that sort of fee with 3 other clubs at least half interested.
  5. Plus that reported 15% of any profit to go straight to Everton hope the report is wrong
  6. I was thinking that due to the conflicting info regards money to spend in jan window or not. Also as a secondary point/question if we didn't have alot of funds now/this accounting period would this income help us take advantage of those clubs needing a "this year" accounting sale? Or is all that out the window now?
  7. With the sell to buy and one in one out it's not a massive leap to list those 4 areas if willock/gordon are peddled then trips gone/ramsdale sent back its basically just replace who goes. Still think we need more areas but might not be immediate first 11 improvements beyond those 4.
  8. Hoping the blue adidas originals stuff gets reduced once the new stuff launches got the tshirt but want the jacket
  9. While all of the players have contributed in their own way to a MEH season I hope this is more of a case of journo's thinking no Europe and funds needed to rebuild mean players want away or are available. I hope its not the case that the club have put the feelers out that everyone is available for the right price as while that may be true we are still looking to build on past seasons gains and momentum not sure selling a ton of starting 11 players is the best way forward.
  10. For the 17/20m they want other than accepting warning the bench on good wages I dont see an upside here. Happy to have spent the reported 4m on the punt/experiment and relieved it wasn't an obligation to buy.
  11. Not to give any excuses but if he had of came back from the initial injury and played again maybe those discussions happen sooner. The fact he then broke down before his return shows caution on the clubs part and if it is reduced terms it does show a little bit of protection. The player may want guarantees of playing time or a 2 year deal but as he goes for nothing and still has "something" about him as a player it does work in our current predicament, albeit as I put in my own post seem to kick the can down the road if we dont also start to plan (this window or the next) for life without both Schar and Burn.
  12. less games now no Europe, loads of other work to do already it does massively kick the can down the road AGAIN if Schar gets a year so that means BDB and him are out of contract next summer. Maybe who we get to cover LB/RB can also do CB cover if needs be?
  13. I dont think I am smart enough to really do the pros and cons I get spread the risk, mitigate risk, keep your own liquid capital to allow to diversify your interests which may yield quicker or better returns. However if they want to be the best and by default mean we become worth alot more you don't surely sell up a large chunk at a 1.2/1.5b value if you think down the line you could be worth double or more?
  14. If this new training ground is 200m the upgrades in current infrastructure is 30m and the leazes terrace purchase it's all gone already 😑 Doesn't seem to make sense to me to water down their ownership when what they do next the stadium and new training ground surely massively increases the clubs value.
  15. 25% doesn't sound like a small stake mind
  16. Sorry mate I did say its the risk you take is the reduction better than paying a other set of postage?

    Nick Woltemade

Still think one of the 3 strikers need to go unless we re-purpose big nick as a 10. If they dont want him to go and are impressed enough to keep osula and wissa won't go dont know where that leaves us.
  18. The issue you have even if we do shift system if we don't get the value we want from a player sale or get an offer we will take then its about repurposing the personnel we have rather than going out to buy it which is why big changes may not be possible. A Tonali sale may run the risk of weakening us but would allow the funds to make bigger waves in the market if we wanted. Where was 10/12/15m for Willock gets you a raw talent from Europe to take a gamble on either offering us something different or the possibility of improving us not guaranteeing it. But like you say will all depend who goes and stays and what system change they are thinking if any to adopt.
  19. I agree we havent found the right balance/mix and if we persist with 3 in midfield we may already have enough with a reduced number of games and only Willock going. The fact we seem linked to midfielders likely means we are looking to at least get 1 in it may be the case we go for a dedicated DM which then allows Tonali and Bruno to go to a 6 but also move further up, how we are going to use Ramsey and Miley more and where they play to be the most effective along with how often big joe who is 30 in August is going to be available. Couple of seasons ago I would have been upset breaking up the middle but its been a stuttering season and clearly we need to evolve to get more goals out of midfield and be more robust defensively I am not sure how possible that is with just a tweak to system.
  20. I think the issue is there is too many unknowns here who will stay or go, who we could get a bid from even if not initially intended to sell. Will we change from 4-3-3 will that involve a number 10 which means you may need to rethink how your midfield functions we are lucky in the sense Bruno has said he is able to play 6,8,10 but we rely so much on him being fit and available. If willock goes its not going to be for a lot of money due to 12 months left if Tonali goes we lose a key quality of his availability/stamina/work rate but would attract a big fee which should allow us the perfect opportunity and more importantly funds to reshape the midfield. We need work everywhere and our better players are not getting any younger how we reinvest is going to be really important.
  21. I think there is too much to do to resolve both issues this window. Will come down to who goes or stays and what system we end up tweaking to. Finally defining Miley's role outside of versatile utility player may also help. If its 1 in 1 out we ideally need someone that can do a little bit of a 6 or 8 but I wouldn't want to rule out a specialist in one position either.
  22. Willock likely gone and tonali possibly gone with big Joe no longer a spring chicken in footballing terms I can see why. Interesting to see if its more going to be a more attacking goal scoring one or a DM

    Lewis Hall

While they no longer offer big wages they do pay way more than us let's hope the lad sees his development here and sticks with us despite being under contract until 29 I would still renew this summer. As others have mentioned is it lack of europe that has the media thinking our squad is fair game or is it genuine interest in exploring leaving. Hopefully it's the former.

    Lewis Hall

Hopefully leads to a new deal being offered to tie him down he's a must keep for me.
  25. Didn't like him staying on the pitch after nearly kicking Bruno twice in the head. First time seen Bruno lose his rag in a long time.
