If Isak is to go calibre of second striker is just as vital though as good as sesko may well be not expecting the isak level of output from last year. We had no goals coming from Wilson so getting a second striker if wissa is no longer certain is just as important to lighten the load/burden without affecting overall output from the forwards as a whole.

You not remember that period last year where it all seemed to be going sideways or backwards the side lacked fresh ideas or new ways of breaking teams down. Nothing to bring off the bench except and ineffective Wilson to change things. Manager himself admitted new players bring new dynamic to the group freshen things up and provide competition and pushing existing players. Not taking owt away last season was excellent but we had some poor games and results along the way and "limped" to 5th thanks to no less manu

Agreed i know the manager denies it but at times our patterns of play looked stale and repetitive. New players new ways of utilising them always help keep options open and oppositions guessing.

Not ideal is an understatement but at this stage getting the players we need in would be an achievement in itself. Also not sure when champions league fixtures start in terms of fixture congestion so while not ideal new signings in next few weeks may get "managed minutes" while we bed them in. Striker wise not so much if isak goes but even if he stayed and him leaving wasn't a thing the "injury" has meant he ain't had a preseason anyway.
-
The other years though need to be covered through income or outgoing not sure the club would go max now to then have no psr wiggle room in following windows as we have a pile of older players that will need cycling out and replacing.

For some its a genuine betrayal like your going to events and family gatherings and she poses for pictures all loved up all the while she is banging Bill from accounts looking back to those moments you wouldn't feel or look back on them the same way. The celebrations the bus parade did he already have in his thoughts fuck this shit give this lot their trophy time for me to go. Also to add my names not Bill.

All options available and unsure what has been said to manu sounds like a non update same shite as the weekend

Isak aside its been bad and bruising for the project and the ego with public rejections but ironically salvageable still with the time remaining. Issue is more will they manage to do it on balance of probability based on how its gone so far which is unlikely. Still glimmer of hope.

Alan Shearer has spoken out about Alexander Isak's behaviour this summer. Speaking on The Rest is Football Podcast, the Toon legend said: "No, I’m not angry at all towards him. "I understand how football works, I know what happens in and around the game. “I probably understand his mentality. Do I like it? Do I understand it? Probably two different things. “But I know what football is about and I know how it works, and obviously Liverpool have been into him or his agent. “I just thought it might have happened next year and if it really is impossible for Eddie to turn him around and he says no, and it sounds like that is the case, I want him to be out now, you get your big money for him, whoever’s prepared to pay that and you get other people in, hopefully beforehand, and then you move on. “As I said, no individual is bigger than any football club, and if he doesn’t want to be there, fine, get what you can and get him out and say thanks very much for the memories, off you go.”

A few X stuff seems to suggest they want player to say they want only them effectively us dropping out only leaving them at the table before they bid, seems a wild take to me more likely its player sales required and player doesn't want to reject us only for Manu not to have the funds and all deal options stall. Also on a negative slant doesn't indicate we are his preferred choice as deal is there to take or to work on, but again if we dont increase our bid or terms and deal falls away publically stating only Newcastle means the risk is he stays put. In other words its any ones guess.

recruit from a position of strength I guess is the other argument go for him now dangle the fee carrot palace's way and see if they are keen, going very very late in the window means they may not get their own replacement and they decide to have him rather than have no one.
-
he's a generational talent though remember

Him and Guehi for around 65m? Can dream can't I 🤣 https://www.google.com/amp/s/sempremilan.com/milan-agree-25m-deal-thiaw-como/amp

I dunno why I did this to myself but suffered through Craig no hopes latest q&a and went on and on about how he now appreciates more the work and challenges of big ticket items.in terms of sponsorship tried to defend club saying alot dont have kit and training ground sponsors. Training kit being explored and most likely if deal is good financially. Training ground less likely as sponsors like to be attached to new development and no value in being tagged onto an existing site. Take of it what you will I guess.

Murphy is 30 in a none psr world or Chelsea model its good succession planning and buying the potential to make money on the deal at that price if he forfills his potential.. Saying all that agree with all that needs to be done in alread light of bodies it makes no sense. Still feel if it goes well for him the big 6 just pay 60m or 70m for him in a few years.
-
Sounds like the way this is getting twisted we as fans need to be grateful to Liverpool for helping us with this problem they have engineered and in doing so its reasonable to lower the fee to an amount they want to pay. Honestly its times like this when I miss just no social media and reports in a paper I could chose not to buy or teletext i could skip over.

For me part of it is the lack of enjoyment your likely not to be allowed to have frpm it. 5 years ago 70m entire summer budgets would be pipe dreams they now single player bids. However we all know as soon as the signing is made it will be: Newcastle secure isak replacement. Signing paves way for liverpool to get their man. How long can Newcastle hold onto isak now they have player in etc etc

He's only 22 its a big step up in his career moving to the prem where we know not all good european players thrive in. How much of him wanting to move and the club seeing him as the best saleable asset to cash in on is also something to consider. However we cant wait forever and I would love to give all the time in the world but its big money and we need an answer. Think we have been patient enough giving it the week we need to know when to pivot to start all this shite again.
-
Its all very frustrating we have our hands tied and the only way to catch up is to weaken ourselves and strengthen a team we want to bridge the gap on. I agree wheeling dealing is key just annoying the sale cant be outside of the prem or when he's coming out of his prime and we are selling at a good time. I love a simpson reference and its the one that jumps to mind albeit not a perfect fit.

Care to share I ordered one but it was shite
