  1. No way the likes of Pulisic and Kovacic fit into our wage structure. Doubt they'd want to come to us anyway.
  2. Thought Milenkovic (CB) looked pretty decent for Serbia even against Brazil. He was a bit exposed by the formation at times. He’s got a very good turn of pace for a 6”5’ bloke.
  3. Florian Wirtz would be an interesting alternative to someone like Maddison. All be it untested in the Prem and on a long contract….
  4. 1) They’ve got Jesus. 2) They’re top of the league, I’m not sure they ‘need’ anything.

    Joe Willock

I read recently how he was one of our most press resistant players so I thought I’d pay particular attention to that. It really is true. He’s hard to close down effectively enough that he gives the ball up. He’s got the acceleration to get out of a tight spot and he’s got a strong hand into the chest move that helps him skip away. Really looking forward to see how he develops further.
  6. Imagine at the start of the season saying that Chelsea we’re gonna have to mark Miggy out of the game because his form was just too hot….
  7. Aye, whenever a team has some sustained pressure one of defenders goes down clutching something ‘serious’. And then magically gets back to their feet and manages to continue against all odds…

    Joelinton

Think he was very useful in attack when he was drifting around the pitch, he only did it occasionally though. Would suspect our formation and tactics aren’t yet flexible enough for players popping up in different positions. That’s probably next!
  9. It was me who saw him have a poor game. Clearly a one off as he’s been raved about otherwise. Given he’s likely cost though, wouldn’t be surprised if the club look more towards that young Argentinian lad, Perrone?
  10. Who the **** you calling a Jonjo fanboy ? Bruno is better a bit higher up the pitch, with and without the ball.
  11. Arsenal have Martinelli and Saka. Don’t see the burning need for them to drop the sort of cash required to get Mudryk.
  12. Pope Trippier. Schar. Botman Targett Shelvey Bruno. Joelinton Willock Miggy. ASM No CF, high press-tastic, combative midfield. Make is hard to play through the middle and give their WBs the fear about moving up the pitch.

    Alexander Isak

Is he going to the WC do we know or will his injury keep him out?
  14. Tbh, he reminds me a bit of Redondo.
  15. My early Xmas wish is for a young, athletic left footed DM. Fits the bill!
  16. This. Sub JL and Maxi somewhere between 45 & 60 mins so they’re fresh for Chelsea.

Looked stronger today which is a boon.
  18. Very glad he’s back tbh. We’ll definitely help our possession game.
  19. Nice to see a club like Leicester sticking by Rodger’s tbh. It seems customary to can a manager at the first sign of trouble despite what they’ve done for the club. Rodger’s has had a very good few seasons with them and I’m happy he’s been given the chance to turn their form around. Hope they’re stupid enough to sell us Ndidi though….
  20. Hope he’s got a couple more like that in him for the rest of the season. It wasn’t just that it was a good finish, it came at a very necessary time. Important goals > worldy goals.
  21. Tbqph, I thought Southampton had our number tactically today (when attacking) but didn’t have the personnel to pull it off. They got players around Burn and made him look a bit cumbersome. They also attacked the space behind Trippier. We were sloppy in the middle and gave the ball away and when they hit the wings I think we looked quite exposed. We we’re incredibly efficient in attack, at one point, 3 shots with 3 goals. That’s clearly not a sustainable statistic. Think we are looking a little tired. I’m hoping that Isak, Maxi and Shelvey coming back will help reenergise the team post WC.

Was a very good and necessary outlet for us today.
