  1. I know. Also, not friends, acquaintances. My bad. I didn't read the second line of your post. No worries. It's quite revealing how many of us will form an opinion of a player's performance based on how we feel about him though.
  2. Couple of lads i know were there said Shelvey never found a team mate all game and they didn't even know Ayoze was playing! I've just seen the highlights (which i know is only highlights) but both 'observations' are clearly prejudiced by how they feel about both players.
  3. I think people have to remember that, as a rule, when you get relegated and players leave, you don't tend to get better ones in to replace them. You just have to hope the players you do get are good enough to get you promoted again.
  4. Just a shame his leg's broken. Are his lungs fully inflated? He's gonna be like, wtf??
  5. McCarthy is a good player though. Would be astounded if he ended up here.
  6. You can't make a post without slagging someone off. You must dress in drag at weekends...

    Isaac Hayden

I look at that team of the week and i have no idea which way they're facing
  8. Judging by the highlights Norwich should have murdered them. They didn't look too clever at the back.
  9. Disagree, their first touch took him away from goal, just had to stand his ground. No need for the stupid lunge. But if he had tried to close him down and he had scored you would be complaining that he should have tried to win the ball. Damned if he doesnt..... Tbf Reading had a bit to do to score from that position. One guy moving away from goal and another guy marked in the penalty area. You shouldn't really go to ground in the box unless you KNOW you're going to get the ball.
  10. Passing side to side and then ending up lumping it forward, when you have no options, was more what I was referring to. I've seen that a lot in recent years watching us! Yeah, i know. We've had precious few intelligent footballers for a while tbh. I can imagine them being told what to do in training but they've rarely had the nous to put it into practice in the match. Saying that, Colo was good at passing it out from the back.
  11. Well said. Standby to be ridiculed Shut the f*** up man. You shut up I'm talking sense he scored one goal last season ffs most of us could manage that and you go on about him like he's some great player. How many times he Dosent want to be here he would contribute f all to us if he stayed Man you've been here 4 months and half the fotball section gets the hump with your posts while the rest stay tight-lipped. It took me over 6 years to achieve that level of negative feeling, don't know whether to admire you or pity you to be honest.
  12. It's an incredibly common tactic for a team to play it around at the back to draw teams out. Looks like you're doing nothing when the opposition don't press though
  13. Confidence is low and timing is off as well. Both easy to recover. Enough talent there.
  14. f*** sake I don't use that term myself!!! I was implying Rafa did...which is potentially worse. Why do you think he would? Because he's Spanish?????????? More prejudice tbh

  16. Everton forum says he's a CB who's playing LB to 'learn the game'. Don't we have Dummet and Clark for that?
  17. Shelvey looked to play forward passesand players will make more moves knowing someone is going to look for them. Mbemba for bringing the ball out would have been a game changer and we'd be starting 20yds further up. Shelvey doesn't look like he has the fitness if we're honest. We're all hoping we sign a MF who can pass AND run around. I bet Rafa would love one too. Maybe Mbemba wasn't fit. Given their striker was 6' 6'' i can understand why Rafa went for a taller CB partnership.
