  1. Interesting, I would worry that HBA might feel he has to do too much if he only has a half and he's expected to win the game for us. I don't know, just an idea. If we can get to half time at least level i think it would work. If the first half is a collapse it will be a terrible decision and i shall delete my posts! (if it were to happen of course)
  2. Don't think Jonas can contribute much other than energy. With that in mind i wonder at the merits of having HBA come on for him at half time. We need to finish this game the better team with our best players fit and able to do what their best at (not charging around closing down anyone and everyone).

What a strange caveat 'if we can get someone better'. Wouldn't everyone say that? The point is that it's always a risk, just is the risk worth taking given the calibre of candidate we could attract, i.e. not the best. Would Laudrup be better than Pardew? Answer that and stick your neck out. 'If we can get someone better', i mean, you can apply that to every employee at the club..

Martinez. Rejected a far richer and ambitious Liverpool. If Wigan go down i can see him (or Wigan) changing their minds.

Would that Rooney would be off then?

IF Moyes did go to Manure, who would replace him at Everton? I wonder if they'd consider Martinez.... With Pardew going to Wigan (dreaming....)
  7. Bigi and Anita offer far more than Gosling.
  8. I would be quite reticent at the idea of Martinez managing NUFC but he definitely deserves a chance at a bigger club/ more resources.

Because he's a mouse. A scared little mouse.
  10. Think i'm with you on that one, although to be honest, my arse is still pinching my seat a bit!
  11. Increase from 48m to 60m over 4 years. In other words a massive decrease compared to staying up. Well obviously, but it softens the blow a bit that's all. Not sure how being paid £45m less is in any way a blow softener like What are you on about? Sorry it was simple in my mind. Stay up and we get £60m, go down and we get £15m. The difference in the two is £45m which is what we will lose, where is the confusion? Either way its not in any way a softened blow to a club which largely relies on that bigger income to break even. But it 'softens the blow' as in getting a parachute payment of 60 is better than getting a parachute payment of 48. Obviously it's nothing compared to staying up, but that's kind of what the phrase 'softens the blow' means. But thats over 4 years so the difference in footballing terms is pretty negligable for a club with our massive costs. True, I was just mentioning that I knew it was better than before. See your point Ian, i guess though that an increase of £3m a season isn't much of a silver lining. Given our costs it really wouldn't make any dent at all in the problem. A point, i'm sure, understood by all.
  12. According to Dennis Wise he is a half price Balotelli, would be canny alongside Cisse if we stayed up and decided to spend £10m Awesome name.
  13. OK OK, what i didn't tell you is that they're all inside the 18 yard box!
  14. Bored; thought of this: Elliot Taylor Colo MYM Jonas Cabaye Sissoko Haidara HBA Cisse Goufran

It's either: a) He has bad ideas b) He has good ideas but communicates them poorly c) He has good ideas and communicates them well but ALL the players are bad at taking instructions. Either a or b is clearly more probable.
  16. I can't believe I bit at the other one. Well done man Still think he'll play though...
  17. Reckon Jonas is taller than Haidara. Defo taller than Simmo.
  18. Er...dunno (genuinely). What did he do? Don't you sometimes have to give it a bit of a go? I'm saying this, i don't follow Liverpool at all and can't remember any of it. I guess my (only) point was in response to your suggestion that Dalgliesh didn't have a plan for his signings. With the 2 i mentioned, i could see a plan. If it doesn't work out that's a different problem, but he i think he had a clear idea when he bought them. Henderson was bit more of a conundrum (in my eyes). Although we made him look brilliant i haven't seen him much of his supposed talent otherwise.
  19. One of his s**** signings was Andy Carroll. How did he fit into Liverpool's carpet football plan? That was the thing. Dalglish never seemed to actually have a long-term goal he was consistently working towards. Thought it was quite obvious what he was trying to do by buying Downing and Carroll (them 2 at least). Enrique was a good buy too.
  20. He knows what it takes to get relegated. Pards is lucky to have him. He'll play.
  21. He's the kind of character we need in these kind of situations.
  22. Elliot MYM Taylor Colo Jonas Tiote Jonas Cabaye Sissoko Jonas Cisse Shola and HBA to come on at the 60-70 minute mark. Marveaux for the last 2 or 3 minutes (probably with an assist).
  23. He's mental if he does that. He will be in real trouble if he does this again. He's definitely going to try and 'nick a result' here, i promise. We'll be set up to not concede too many. That will be the primary objective.
