Until recently I thought it was Wullie and Toon's Taylor who were my main nemeses. Is that a word? Most people are lucky to get one nemesis, Ian Greedy b******d !

If the club employ new coaches to train the team to play to their strengths, i have to be honest, i wouldn't be against the idea of seeing him into next season. If it's the same lot as this season, then i would think it's time for a change. It's ok making mistakes and then saying he's learning by them but then he makes lots of other mistakes. Enough for me to really wonder why he can't see most of them coming. We need someone who can anticipate future events and act accordingly not just someone who can analyse the past. There's a BIG difference.

He needs him to keep some sort of foothold in the dressing room imo.

I'll bet there's more than a grain of truth in that. It's a rock, man. Made of a BILLION grains stuck together.

I can honestly say, the reason, i think, is that he goes to great lengths to be liked by his players is because they haven't got any other reasons to respect him.

Odd thing is, he then goes on to give a pretty long list of reasons why he hasn't been good enough.
  7. What a good addition he would be! Like a good Taarabt Him on the left, HBA on the right. Both cutting in, Haidara and Debuchey giving the width. Oooooohhhhh, missus!
  8. 1 from the top, 4 from the middle and 1 from the bottom please Carol.

I don't see how maturity comes into not being bothered what somebody thinks, should I be? It's no surprise that you try to make something out of it though. Do you really think I'm bothered about you thinking I'm bothered about you not behind bothered, like? You're really quite confrontational. But not that brave about it at the same time. Quite a feat tbh.
  10. If he's good enough, i hope so too!

67 long balls per game last season. Pretty close to what we were hittting before the new year. Course, people don't complain about it while we're winning. Well you're wrong there. It's more accurate to say that people get laughed at for complaining while we're winning. Now we're losing. Agreed. I called it plenty last season and i was far from the only one.

Aren't you meant to be a bit on the tall and wide side? Just threaten them witha genuine pounding.

You're so gullible, you'll always give him another game. Thought I'd got away with a couple of pages without attracting an idiotic insult there. FWIW I wasn't commenting on anything other than these quotes. If 'gullible' is an insult now then the world is really getting bloody precious. It's not exactly nice is it? This is thankfully on the whole a very non-confrontational and friendly board, calling somebody gullible is about as bad as it gets for the most part. No need to cry offense over something so petty. at you 'ing it.

    He is embarrassing, actually.
  16. Antoine Griezmann LW/Striker. Done very well this season. Only 22. Looks a good player. French but plays for Real Sociedad.

I'm not sure he could spot a good coach, or even if he did wouldn't be threatened by him. He'd much rather have around him people he knows are below him and have no chance of challenging him. At his end of season review. If he hasn't any ideas regarding this then, if i were his employer, i'd start making my own enquiries and simply employ one. He's not done well with the team shape and direction since he's been here to deserve any respect on this. He needs assistance. Simple. If he feels undermined, so he should. He SHOULD be embarrassed and willing to do whatever it takes to bring about about massive change in our training and therefore performance of the the squad he has to pick from. I tend to agree, although I might give him the close season and see how we start next year. Either way a positive and creative assistant might provide some balance to our approach. Carver and Stone seem to be grafters more than anything. It's a bit "jobs for the boys" for my liking Don't think he knew Carver personally before but it all smacks of getting a Geordie to get the fans onside. Carver might well be a good enough coach but if that's the case, Derpdew isn't allowing him to do his job properly and that dynamic is probably set now. Get someone in and make sure Derpdew knows why and what this guy's role is.

Personally, i think that without a proper pre season of actually training with a mind on the abilities of the squad he has, pointless waiting to a few games into the season. Horse will have bolted. Have to ruthless sometimes to be successful. If he's staying, and unless a really obvious candidate, i.e. Laudrup, becomes available then i think it might be worth seeing what Derpdew can do next season, he needs to revamp the training. Those 3 haven't managed it in over 2 years, they someone else in to head up that responsibility. Someone with a talent for it.

If he stays he desperately needs someone to come in to help with the coaching/training. It's clearly beyond whoever's doing what at the moment. He needs to face up to that and delegate it to someone who's more than capable. Then he can concentrate on his opposition reports and the 'all things to all men' act he likes to put on. Needs a major revamp of the training though. New bodies in to orchestrate it.
  21. He'd be in mine instead of Tiote for most of our home games and a few away from home. Really won me over in the last couple of months, Marveaux. Very effective in tight areas and magic when in space. Magic? What, as in he vanishes? Joke, he is good when it's tight (overhead at the vicarage....)
  22. I bet the vast, vast majority would prefer PEA (massively unlikely) but he most likely wouldn't fit in here. He'd stand a better chance of fitting in with HBA, Marveaux, Sissoko and Cabaye than Carroll would.

Im a hater (kneejerk) unless he does well in a cup and league, looks more attacking and we beat the mackems - Tall order Alan. That's the other problem, Pardew has now become the Steve Bruce of Tyneside. I can see him waving the white flag to Di Canio for the foreseeable future. Tbf, after we hammered them 5-1 they went on a good run. If we could do the same i'd be more than happy!

Addendum: If we fail to win another game this season, i think he'd have to go. Don't think the players would believe in him anymore. They might like him but they'll have it confirmed to them that he is crap (think someone of them think this already, with good reason, alas.)
