Our American owner has shown more respect for the club, its history, its role in the community, and the game in general, in 12 months than our previous very English owner did in 30 years. I remember a period, maybe at the start of last season when he was at Villa, didnt he give away something like 4 penalties in 5 games. I just seemed to remember everyweek, he made some major mistake. I think he conceded one against us at SJP Am sure Brummie will remember Indeed. He wasn't so much an own goal specialist as a penalty-giver. To be fair, i thought he did ok at the start of MON's first season, and rumour has it that the reason he got dropped was that MON wanted him to get into the habit of putting the ball into the Holte Upper, whereas Ridgewell wanted to play it out of defence. Still, whatever the disagreement, nobody really deserves a fate quite that terrible.
