  1. Sissoko went off holding his hamstring so there is still a chance Ben Arfa may start against Man U.
  2. Newcastle man of the match by a mile. He played well.
  3. Real bad day for Sundo (apart from our defeat).
  4. I don't know any other manager who has overseen so many hammering and has not been sacked for it.
  5. Positives Rob Elliot has played well so far We aren't losing 15 - 0
  6. Southampton have created more chances in this half than we have in the last 6 games.
  7. I hope not. Right wing is where he's played his best for us. If he is behind Cisse I'll be happy if he proves me wrong today though.
  8. They are just a wee (as in Urine) club.
  9. To illustrate how dangerous Everton thought we were from our set pieces, in the second half one of their players went to the half way line to talk to their manager just before we took a corner. He was still talking to their manager when we took the corner.

  11. I don't know anyone who isn't enjoying Man U's troubles. The hissy fits thrown by some of their fans have been hilarious. Surely the glory seeking foreign fans whose opinions Scudamore is worrying about will just start supporting Man U's replacements at the top of the pile? "There are lots of fans around the world who wish Manchester United were winning it again" There are a lot more fans around the world who are happy Manchester United aren't winning it again.

  13. We have very little to lose. Unless we have a horrendous last 7 games we are unlikely to drop lower than 9th in the table. Therefore we might as well go for it (Pardew won't though). A rotten result against Everton where few of our players played well but you can bet the same team will start against Southampton (apart from the injured Krul being replaced by Elliot).
  14. So is anyone going to create the thread for the Southampton game? The game is in 3 days after all. I'd do it myself but I started the one for the Everton game and we lost. Seeing as we lost it is against the 'rules' for me to start the next game thread.
  15. It's not often a team is willing to loan out someone of Lukaku's quality and price tag. In the same way we will struggle to replace Remy they'll have a tough job replacing Lukaku. As I understand it Everton don't have a big squad. If they are in the Europa League it will test their squad depth.
  16. It seems to me that more often than not, when we lose we tend to get hammered. Fortress St James' ? Not this season it isn't.
  17. I'd forgotten about Barry being on loan too. I wasn't having a pop at Everton by the way. I just think it will be interesting to see how you get on without Lukaku. He may have been injured or not playing well all the time but he's scored a decent number of goals that will have won you a lot of points. I think most Newcastle fans realise we'd have really struggled this season without Remy. I'm just drawing a correlation between Newcastle and Remy with Everton and Lukaku.
  18. Everton are greatly benefiting from the loans of Lukaku and Deulofeu (like we are with Remy). I wonder how Everton will do next season if they don't have either of those players. Everton are more than likely going to qualify for the Europa League. It will be interesting to see how they get on next season. West Brom were 'artificially' higher in the league last season than they would have been due to loaning Lukaku. Everton will have to do well to replace him next season.

  20. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2588725/Lukaku-sale-summer-Chelsea-consider-offloading-Tottenham-target.html I wouldn't waste £8m on de Jong if we need to find £17m for Lukaku!
  21. They love to say FTM but it's them who could well be fucked soon. I always read the "M" in FTM as Mackems.
