  1. Genuinely interested to know if Mathieu Debuchy has been having a decent season. Does anyone know?
  2. On ESPN the Scottish ex-football player in the studio said "Pardew is very naive for expecting not to be asked about Ferguson". All Pardew said was that he wasn't going to talk about it. When asked for a reaction on Ferguson's outburst Pardew should have said "Some shit came out of an arsehole. Shit is what you'd expect to come out of an arsehole isn't is?"
  3. Pardew said the other day that we need more options in defence. Let's hope Mike Ashley was listening. How many teams go into season after season with only 3 recognised centre backs? There is no room for injuries, loss of form or suspensions. All of which have come to bite us on the ass. Ryan Taylor being injured has removed our Right and Left back cover. After Ryan our cover is Ferguson (possibly more of a left winger) and Tavernier (who doesn't have Premiership experience). Our back 4 have more or less played every game. They never get a rest. We need to be able to rotate the squad when we have a game every 3 to 4 days.
  4. Marveaux deserves praise for his recent performances. He is creative which is something we've desperately needed with Cabaye and Ben Arfa not fit. He's not been perfect though. His corners weren't the best yesterday and he lost the ball in midfield, then fell to ground which directly lead to an Arsenal goal (although he certainly isn't alone in costing us a goal yesterday). Marveaux's best position seems to be in the middle not on the wing. Ben Arfa's best position seems to be on the wing and not in the middle. I've not been impressed when Ben Arfa has played behind the striker/s. Marveaux hasn't really impressed when played on the wing.
  5. How are the players we didn't get doing this season? How are the players we've been linked with doing this season? Examples: - Douglas - FC Twente Erik Pieters - PSV Eindhoven Mathieu Debuchy - Lille Luuk De Jong - Borussia Mönchengladbach Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa - Montpellier Moussa Sissoko - Toulouse Modibo Maïga - West Ham United Mamadou Sakho - Paris Saint-Germain Loïc Rémy - Marseille
  6. I hope Real Madrid annihilate Man U in the Champions League. I also hope Man City beat them to the title again. Anything that upsets that c*** and Man U fans is fine by me.
  7. Pardew should have ranted on how Valencia tried to end Anita's career. That seems to be how things are done.
  8. It's very easy to come on here when you've just won. Let's see how you are when our manager moans at the officials for a few minutes without getting sent to the stands. Also, one of your players just badly injured one of our players and didn't even get booked.
  9. The next time someone moans that Man City won the title remember, it stopped the cunts of Man U winning.
  10. We're wearing the 'lucky' Europe change kit.
  11. To be fair to Gutiérrez, quite a few times yesterday he was ready to cross but we only had one or two players in the box against 5 or 6 QPR players. He definitely needs a rest though. Maybe he'd be better coming on as a sub against tired opposition?
  12. According to the weather forecast, the whole of England has heavy rain all day today.
  13. Amalfitano played tonight for the under 21s who got battered. Maybe NUFC wanted him to train for 6 months before sending him on loan to a Championship club? Maybe he's still acclimatising. We did get him from the French 2nd division. It wasn't likely he'd be a started in the Premier League unless he was great in training. Maybe we've got a dud? Time will tell.
  14. He's had a few problems with his toes. This comeback is from an operation he has had to try to solve the problem. Pardew said last week that Obertan is kicking the ball again in training.
  15. I wasn't impressed by that. If you lose it at least make an attempt to get it back. Maybe that's what's stopping him get a starting position in the team?
  16. Since when does the Ref stop a game for a player to tie their shoe laces? Decent second half performance. It's a shame we don't play like that over 90 minutes. We created a lot of chances compared to recent games.
  17. Would you call it fantastic man management for Pardew to give Sammy a place on the bench with no intention of using him? I'm sure Pardew has talked to Sammy. Sammy hasn't really done it in his appearances. He does need to go out on loan and there's no shame in that.
  18. My point was that Pardew not playing Ben Arfa all last season was being used as a reason to illustrate why Pardew is a bad manager. Ben Arfa saying he wasn't fully fit until January was the fact that showed that couldn't be used as a stick to beat Pardew with. Anyway, Pardew has played Ben Arfa every Premiership game he has been fit this season.
  19. Unless anyone here works for NUFC (by "works" I mean with the squad on the training pitch, physio room or somewhere else where they can make a knowledgeable judgement on a player's fitness) we can't know who is or isn't fit. I'll take Hatem word on when he's fit over someone's opinion on here.
  20. Hatem said himself that he wasn't really fully fit until January but don't let that fact get in the way of your agenda.
  21. Plenty of other current players (e.g. Bigi) have come out and said they like Pardew. People are just looking for another reason to dislike Pardew to go along with our poor form this season. If we were flying high nobody would care how well liked Pardew was. Alex Ferguson comes across as a real miserable git to me. His success means a lot of people overlook his personality failings.
  22. Barton said he likes Pardew in that recent interview. I can't imagine Barton needs much of a reason to not like someone so the fact he likes Pardew must show Pardew isn't a bad guy.
  23. Possible reasons for playing him: - Putting him in the shop window. Giving him another chance (I may be wrong but I don't think he has any criminal charges outstanding). Not risking a first team striker. If Shola goes to the ACN we need striker cover in January (unless we buy some cover) so Ranger gets some game time.
  24. Could this be the first time ever that a NUFC player has returned from injury earlier than expected rather than the usual later than expected? EDIT - Yes it is: - http://www.nufc.co.uk/page/News/Gallery/0,,10278~3001540,00.html
