Do the people who do the hiring at other clubs rate Hughton? They probably look at what he did at Newcastle in the knowledge that he had a NUFC squad made up of mainly Premiership players. Also NUFC had a wage bill of double the nearest Championship rival.

He's being really careful isn't he?

Do they? I've seen plenty examples of "Never heard of him therefore he must be shit". The other people who admit to not knowing a player we're linked to tend to say something along the lines of "Never heard of him. Is he any good?". I was being facetious tbh, I always doubt the people who claim to have watched players in random foreign lower leagues. Are there any examples in this thread btw? The people who've said he is shit seem pretty sure they've heard of him. One word reviews like "crap" and "shit" don't really indicate if the poster knows of the player or are just saying that because they haven't heard of the player.

Why do some people assume any player they don't know must be shit?

Steve Wraith - Self publicising, self appointed voice of Newcastle fans. Friend to all the players and Ronnie and Reggie Kray fan! If players want to make something public they should announce it themselves.

I stand by what I said above in February. If he really is demanding a 4 year contract then sell him in the Summer. There aren't many players over 32 who can still cut it at Premiership level. Absolute bollocks that like. Good of you to back that up. Lets have a list (which does not include goalkeepers) of players over 32 who are still playing well for their teams. I'll start you off with Ryan Giggs. I'll also add some players who have done well for their clubs at that age but have retired by now. Shearer, Giggs, Scholes, Neville, Roy Keane, Zidane, Figo, Lucio, Zanetti, Milito, Deco, Drogba, Anelka, Beckham, Bergkamp, Tony Adams, Lizerazu, Sol Campbell, Robbie Fowler, Viera List of players that were just on top of my head btw. Well half those players weren't in the Premiership for a start. Premiership games are played at a much faster pace than the Italian and Spanish leagues.

The 3rd picture is comic with the lads in the backgroud I particularly like it how the last picture is of Ryan Taylor.

To throw away 9th and a 3 goal lead to end up 12th means something. £800K per Premier League placing. Attracting players is easier if you can say you finished in the top half rather than the bottom half. You should never give a player game time out of sympathy or loyalty. Be gone Alan Smith. Never darken our team again.

No way. I wouldn't sign Jonathan Woodgate either. Permanently injured players are not what we need.

Offer him a new contract and give him a deadline to sign it by. If he doesn't sign it, officially put him on the transfer list and see which clubs are interested in him. Hopefully a bidding war will drive his price up.

So all the important relegation decider games are on TV except for Blackburn Vs Wolves. No doubt that will end up being the most important game then.

I can't see the Super Injunction he allegedly won among that lot.

Is every newspaper rumour going to get this much analysis on here over the summer? I highly doubt NUFC are interested in Cole. The Daily Mirror has a 16.9% transfer story accuracy for Newcastle United according to: - http://www.footballtransferleague.co.uk/newspaper.aspx?paper=Daily+Mirror 296 stories where 50 turned out to be right (it doesn't say how long back in time those 296 stories go).
