  1. Proof that morons believe everything they read in the press: - Are Newcastle a spent force in the transfer market? http://www.readytogo.net/smb/showthread.php?t=346548
  2. You're very trusting. You're talking about the guy who takes all his quotes from www.nufc.co.uk and then puts the name of the person quoted before the words "told me" at the start of all his stories. E.g. "Kevin Keegan told me something that he also said word for word to www.nufc.co.uk"
  3. Morning Louise. I can just see the scenario where he refuses to live here, but has seen a nice two bedroom terrace in Southwick. I know someone who works in property management in Newcastle. The company they work for often get calls during the transfer window from Sunderland AFC wanting homes for their players. Steed Malbranque "insisted" that he wanted to live in a certain well known apartments building in Newcastle/Gateshead. Stern John and Dwight Yorke were others that have lived/do live in Newcastle/Gateshead.
  4. He's a total arsehole. After Martins scored there was total silence. Martin Tyler kept saying "This wasn't in the script". Well fuck you and your script. I didn't realise we were supposed to just lie down and lose. I wish the option to listen to the match without having to hear the commentators was still available. Wonderfully demonstrated by that dick end Martin Tyler. Apparently Keegan only finds out about which players he's getting when Dennis Wise delivers them. Fuck off Tyler. All their 'facts' are taken from the Daily Shite. How thick are they that they assumed the Kevin Keegan Newcastle United would be just as shit as the Sam Allardyce Newcastle United?
  5. Pretty sure N'Zogbia has regularly played left back for France under 21s.
  6. It would seem that when the boot is on the other foot she doesn't like it. Good! Now she knows how we feel with all the shite she writes. It's great to see the shit stirring press get some of their own medicine. Someone should definitely email her these: - http://ourmaninnewcastle.com/louise-loves-roy/ http://ourmaninnewcastle.files.wordpress.com/2008/04/louisemf2.jpg
  7. Hopefully Everton losing today will result in a panic bid for Alan Smith that we simply can't refuse.
  8. Pretty low risk on loan. If he pushed Alan Smith down the striker pecking order that would be good enough reason for me to bring him in. I'll believe it when it happens though.
  9. What's so annoying about all this newspaper shite is that all the moron pundits on BBC, SKY, Setanta, etc will talk about it like it is 100% fact when they mention Newcastle e.g. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/7538833.stm Reading this you'd think Coloccini was a journeyman player: - http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/n/newcastle_united/7546685.stm
  10. That's what i was arguing. Even if he wanted to be away, we should have been compensated properly for losing a first team defender with Premiership experience. £3-4m would have been more like it. I don't get how transfers work these days. If we were willing to sell him why don't the club announce that he is on the transfer list? At least then there may have been some competition for his signature pushing the value up. how do you know he wasnt touted round by his agent to all clubs and no one else wanted him? I don't but a lot of transfers seem to happen with everyone knowing a player is available e.g. Bentley. We only seem to find out ours are leaving at the last minute when it's 99% done e.g. Emre, Faye, etc.

  12. With Faye gone I can't see Edgar going out on loan this season unless we buy a replacement defender.
  13. To add to those defensive options, Geremi can play at Right back and N'Zogbia can play Left back although I'm still hoping for incoming transfers.
  14. Please don't give me false hope, it's cruel.
  15. http://www.nufc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10278~1367309,00.html Looks like we're going to be stuck with Alan Smith then. If Keegan want to keep him then fair enough. Keegan has accepted a great challenge with this decision, try to get Alan Smith playing better than diabolically.
  16. Interestingly the article also says that in order to play on Sunday, the two Argies had to be registered by noon today. So if there are any late surprises they'd better crop up soon. It makes you wonder why the hell he'd go to Nigeria for treatment on a knee injury. Is Nigeria more medically advanced than the UK? A Witch Doctor sorted Martins knee out has he?
  17. I think he'll sign, actually. Pretty confident about it too. The further it drags on the less confident I am in it happening, plus I don't trust him one bit. I think he'll end up signing because he still picks up the odd knock that has him out for a week or two at a time which will put off the 'massive' clubs. Who is going to pay him more than us? It may take until the next transfer window when he can talk to other clubs but when he sees who is interested in him and more to the point who isn't interested in him he'll probably stay.
  18. Keegan/Newcastle didn't buy anyone in the last transfer window so surely any money that was set aside for that window has been earning interest since (even if it's only in the mind of what Mike Ashley is willing to spend)? I can't see why we'd sell Faye for £2m. These last few weeks of the transfer window aren't going to be for the faint hearted. Let's just hope Newcastle's new hierarchy are good poker players. I can imagine a few deals going through at the literal last minute. Numbers wise isn't the squad even smaller than it was last year at the moment?
  19. He's not Juventus' Alan Smith equivalent is he?
  20. I hate SSN. Watching it is like 'Groundhog Day'. Watch 10 minutes and you've seen all they are going to show on loop for the next few hours. Must be really boring to present it.
  21. Yes. He trained with the squad on Saturday according to The Chronicle.
  22. He said Martins had gone to Nigeria to sort out family issues. Hope he's back for Sunday (that is if he's not actually at St. James' now as we speak).
  23. They've just said Owen isn't there then shown he is!
