I think both would be better off going for Defoe tbh. Irregardless of what the mackems say or think if a London club came in for him he'd be begging them to leave It's a perfectly cromulent word. If anything, he's embiggened his sentence with that word.

Whatever did or didn't happen, I'm assuming there's no audio or video evidence. If that is the case then it is the say so of the two Wolves' players against the say so of Shelvey and his witness. I don't see how the FA can find Shelvey guilty based on that situation.

He was playing for the team by passing, to me that shows growing maturity rather than lack of confidence. I only saw the very limited highlights of the Cardiff game. I doubt many strikers would have passed in the same situation. I was at the Preston game. He scored 2 but he could easily have scored a few more. He kept passing to team mates when I expected him to shoot. To be fair to him, that might be the best option for him as he isn't exactly clinical with his finishing. I can't think of many goals he has scored from outside the box. So far in his NUFC career he isn't known for blasting shots on target from range. At the moment I'd say he was a hold up target man and close range striker.

He doesn't yet have the selfish streak most strikers have. The majority of strikers would have taken the shot rather than pass the ball to Atsu against Cardiff today. I noticed during the cup game against Preston that he'd often pass to a team mate when you'd expect him to shoot. A lack of confidence in his own shooting abilities or too busy trying to be the great team mate?

Mick Lowes is retiring from commentating on Saturday, November 26. He's missed a few matches recently. "Matthew Raisbeck will take over from Mick until a permanent replacement is appointed". http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/news/north-east-news/bbc-radio-newcastle-united-commentator-12119995 -

Sporty Fiat 500 = Abarth 595?

He was playing really well before he got taken out.

Interesting to see who starts. Darlow was playing in the cup games when Sels was playing the Championship games. Maybe Rafa will put Sels in for the cup games? The following didn't start on Saturday but a lot of them could be in the starting 11 on Tuesday: - Sels, Mbemba, Hanley, Lazaar, Anita, Hayden, Diame, Mitrovic, Tiote and Murphy.

fortunately the tories always look after the interests of the north east of england eh It was the Tories who helped bring Nissan to the North East. Mrs Thatcher in charge at the time too.

How many of the people writing him off actually went to the only game he played in so far? I went and he held the ball up well. He's been injured. Maybe he would have played more if he wasn't injured. There are a hell of a lot of games still to play. I'm sure we'll see him at some point.

He seriously needs to calm down his celebrations. He's going to end up injuring one of our players with his ridiculously over the top, violent manhandling that he's done on our goal scorers at least twice now (Perez and Gayle).

Fucking shit performance. -
He'll be our number 1 striker in January if he keeps scoring more regularly than our other forwards.

It's a worry that we don't seem to be able to come back if we concede the first goal. The record at St. James' Park needs to massively improve. It's supposed to be a fortress but the home crowd have seen as many defeats as wins.

If we raise enough we could get one of these: - http://ichef.bbci.co.uk/news/624/media/images/75494000/jpg/_75494566_000218186-1.jpg

To be fair, the Mackem sells his soul to the Devil to get 6 wins against NUFC. Sounds like he agrees to get bummed or something in order for Sunderland to win a cup: - "What John doesn’t anticipate is the devil’s work he must do to get the things he so desperately wants"
-
Regardless of what he may or may not have said about a former manager and player, Rafa rates him enough to authorise a new 4 year contract for him. http://www.nufc.co.uk/articles/20160907/elliot-signs-new-contract_2281670_5869071

I'm not saying he will, I'm saying he could if he was desperate to leave. The club he goes to could reimburse him. Apparently NUFC had accepted a £1.6m fee for him before the deal collapsed. If he gets a big money contract elsewhere for multiple years it could be worth his while. He'll probably just run down his contract though.
