Just been reading on the Chronicle website that we could miss out on any games up here, be shocking if so given the history of SJP and the fact that Newcastle as a city is great.

Aye very true. Would be immense to not throw silly money around but still construct a top class team. We built a canny side with not much investment in 2012, but didn’t continue to build the squad and as we know, had a piss poor manager.

See that’s what I don’t get. We have Bruno saying he thinks we will push for the CL next season and he’s constantly talked about “the project” and then Edwards is adamant we are only going to spend £50 mil. I haven’t got a problem at all with “only” a £50 mil spend, but I don’t see it being true when Bruno is coming out with quotes like that. And then Merhdad is saying FFP is our only barrier to spending.

Would definitely sell, would be delighted to sell him and Wood in the Summer if we got 2 top strikers and a young back up.

Just read on their forum that Juan Sartori, being a politician in his native Uruguay has been calling for neutrality in Ukraine, and is the son in law of one of Putin’s allies. Can only assume that our ethical and classy neighbours will all be boycotting their future games.
