  1. How do you give someone a hamstring injury? I dunno, but I can't bring myself to wish a broken leg on anyone anymore since Ben Arfa happened. Unless they're Japanese.
  2. Who (if any) is playing Spain this weekend and how much would they accept in exchange for a nice, niggly hamstring injury on Silva?
  3. Meh, where would Chelsea be without their talismanic 50m striker banging in the goals to keep them in the title race? Oh, wait...

    Chris Hughton

Don't see what's wrong with them. They're quite boring but I don't find them offensive in any way.
  5. Shame, but having an actual squad feels really good

    Sunderland...

I'd grudgingly accept Sunderland getting a point if it meant we could be 2nd for a week.

    Ryan Taylor

Thanks, for that. Really interesting. Losing Enrique still boils my piss and seeing them gloat over what a fantastic buy he was for them irritates still. But Ryan Taylor holds his own I suppose, statistically speaking. (But that's probably down to our easy schedule ) I really have to wonder though what the writer was thinking while putting the article together. Why was Ryan Taylor included for analysis at all? I'm happy he/she/it did. I don't think I would've bothered. Because he wanted to include the starting left-backs for all the teams challenging for a CL place?

    Hatem Ben Arfa

If we signed Maiga it's pretty much play on the wing or don't play at all for him. You'd hope he'd make the right choice.

    Sunderland...

 ...I'm well biased in hating him because he's both Danish and playing for Sunderland, though. But still. Thank god. I thought I was the only one hating Denmark  I can't imagine the kind of hate I'd feel if Sunderland ever signed a Japanese player.
  10. Surely at this point criticizing Lovenkrands is just beating a dead horse. A really, really dead horse.

    Sammy Ameobi

Hi HTT, I'm a minority. It's not just the white people.
  12. We could use a right-footed right-winger who could actually hug the flanks and cross. Haven't got one of those. Unsure if Hoilett is suited for that role though.
  13. Come January he'll potentially be behind, Best, Ba, Ben Arfa, Ameobi AND Maiga, so we could really just sell him and still loan out the young talent anyway.
  14. 33-man squad? I can think of at least 8 problems with that...
  15. Very well played, that. Without doubt, nice to see common sense prevail for once. If I was the ref I'd be scared shitless of the stick I'd get if I even tried to book him for that. Tragic story in any case. Wouldn't wish that sort of thing on anyone.
  16. Helped out a lot defensively as well. Didn't think he'd be able to learn how to do that.

    Sunderland...

Jesus Christ, how good does that make Gardner and Cattermole then.

    Ryan Taylor

Add Jermaine Pennant to the rather extensive list of players who were supposed to "destroy" Raylor, but haven't.
  19. Not a lot of teams get to be in that position at the Britannia I suppose.

    Alan Pardew

Made the exact right tactical choices in the second half. They weren't fun choices, but they were the right ones.
  21. Anybody got a screencap of the League table I can save for posterity?
  22. Raylor on the right every day. He won't need to do that stupid stepover thing to cross then.
  23. I like the fact that even though they bought a Korean they still had to do that. Given that Ji didn't even play, I doubt most of them will be back!
  24. For those of you who get tickled by that sort of thing, Sunderland got in touch with the Korean Society first and offered them group rate tickets for ten pounds a piece. All part of their master plan to become Northeast Top Dogs I suppose.
