Why, will there be piss drinking involved?
-
He was great in the Championship and for the early part of last season but was showing significant signs of decline when he got injured. Haven't seen him recently enough to determine where he's at right now. Given how things are going, I assume the club don't like what they see.

Linking a completely unrelated topic to the same old boring argument just so you can be needlessly confrontational with a poster that doesn't agree with you? Reminds me of someone.

I imagine there's been a sit down with Forster at some point. "Fraser, we'd like you to stay and compete for the shirt but for now Tim is first choice." "Eh Gaffer, I'd rather go back to Celtic then." "Fair enough, call in that other guy.' Krul - 1st Choice Forster - not willing to stay as backup Harper - done Elliot - backup Soderberg, Alnwick - the new "Krul and Forster" Makes sense for me.

I just assumed it was Robbie Elliott's birthday or something.

http://www.clicklancashire.com/sport/wigan-athletic-fc/1210240-monaco-striker-offered-to-wigan-athletic,-newcastle-united-and-liverpool.html Can we just offer him a contract? Please?

Best seems to be third choice for some reason

Or they're pursuing a number of targets to make sure they get someone. People would go mental if we concentrated on one left back, it fell through and we were left with nobody. The lesson of this and every summer is that people will go mental no matter what happens. I include myself in that.

I guess it might just be brinksmanship from PSV, threatening to put him on a plane to Austria while also keeping a full tank of gas in the helicopter to Newcastle. Ultimately, I don't think we'll have a left back this weekend simply because the people who run our club value saving a couple million pounds more than having a player available for an extra match or two. I expect we'll get both Pieters and Maiga, but both well into the last week of the window.

To be fair to Dave, most of the posts in here are not worth reading. Including anything Dave's written in the football section for the past eight months or so. Because his opinion is different to yours? No, because the only kind of posts he makes now are sarcastic one-liners about how the club will fail miserably at whatever the topic is discussing.
-
Yet its what they do time and time again No it's not. They could do worse if they tried hard enough.

There's a difference between being incompetent and strategically deducing the worst possible course of action and following it every time.

Zero resale value and we have to sign some other shit player in one year's time. Not cheap at all. Besides, if that's the case why not just go sign some dude we've never heard of on a free. CHEAPER!
-
Squeeze all they like I think its clear to us and Pards that Bridge is the only leftback we will be signing. Why? cheapest option Two million and 90k wages for a year loan isn't cheap.

No punishment for Song?
-
Apparently being depressingly negative about only the club is no longer sufficient for Dave.
-
Where do we go from here dear Colocho? If your stance is that everyone on this forum that thinks you're a complete and utter laughing stock needs to piss off, I think it would be faster for you to stop posting and just PM yourself.
-
I appreciate the fact that Colocho put in the work to go find a picture with some random Asian chick on it, just to add some "subtle" racial undertones. Attention to detail man, got to love it
-
How do they know about these things before we do?
-
If this keeps going he's gonna end up just coming back and "signing" for a national service team.
-
Piss off. Nah, that would be Dave. Colocho also does a bunch of other things, such as being a self-styled French Football expert and being the world's premier mounter of high horses. You an' all. I'm sorry, I apologize for leaving out the fact that you also run United for Newc... Oh, never mind.

Shane will probably be available, thankfully. Better than Raylor.
-
If the quotes in there are true though, then it looks like they intend to hold onto him until/beyond the weekend (at least), which probably rules him out of signing before the derby. I don't think anybody was really expecting that this apparent huge row with his club would be resolved by Saturday.
