  1. he fucking picked shola to start man, minutes in it was clear it was an awful decision yet he takes off his own signing ba - laughable man stooge, puppet, fuckwit imo Shola did far more in the first half than Ba. 'cause sholas immobility was more aligned to the 50 yard hoofs we played for most of the game....aye, let's hang ba out to dry then Nobody's hanging Ba out to dry, but you can't always make subs solely based on who's the better player in the abstract. Given how the first half panned out, taking Ba off instead of Shola was 100% the correct decision.
  2. Obertan for Ba was a good sub imo. I think (or at least I really, really hope) that Ba is comfortably a better player than Shola in general, but on the day Shola was playing better and Ba looked like he was way off the pace. Subbing him was the correct decision. Obertan came on and changed the game. If Pardew did make a mistake in this aspect, it was not lining up 4-5-1 from the start.

  4. Don't blame him. Yeah, think he should put in a transfer request now. Wouldn't begrudge him in the slightest. In fact, I think they should all go, and Pardew and his team as well, should never have come to us as we're totally shit. In fact, I think we should get rid of the club, total embarrassment to the city, wouldn't begrudge the demolition men in the slightest (though to be honest we're probably not good enough for them, they probably think we're small fry with our lop sided mess). In fact, fuck Newcastle full stop. If we can't persuade a left back to stay in the city rather than go to traditional giants like Liverpool waving wedge in his face and an unarguably greater chance of National recognition whether they're in Europe or not, we should just give up, burn it to the ground, and move to Wearside. BottledDog's post needs to be framed and hung on the walls here. I know it's a British thing to put ourselves down, but we really need to remember what club we support at times. Maybe we should take the same approach to politics. Abolish elections, if anyone criticizes the government, mock them for being a whinging cunt and tell them to shut the fuck up, they could live in Zimbabwe and don't know how good they've got it. Wullie taking it to a whole new level

    Mohamed Salah

Trial run for a year before we actually give him a contract?
  7. If we get a comfortable lead early on I do hope we bring on Sammy for a half hour just as a piss take.
  8. I think we'd have bought Pieters at £4-5m, but when his club asked for £6m we probably thought we can get Cisskho for around that. Even if it's more it's probably a better deal so if we do it then I would agree it was the right thing to pull out of the Pieters deal. Agree, that's probably exactly what triggered the change of heart... If they'll both cost almost the same thing might as well go for the bigger name. I don't disagree with the decision, but it's pretty nerve-wracking.
  9. Just as well Tiote probably doesn't understand the term "piss off" otherwise he'd have stuck the nut on Llambias. Llambias: "Chieck, we're not going to negotiate. You can take the new contract or piss off." Llambias: "You'll get your blank checks in the mail every Monday mate, cheers."
  10. From what I can tell it seems like we decided to put an almost-done deal with Pieters on the back-burner because we felt that we could attract this guy. It's nice to be ambitious and all that, but I'm not really feeling confident given that negotiation really hasn't been our strong suite this summer. My faint heart wishes we'd chosen the safe option. What if we fail here, try to go back, and Pieters decides he doesn't really fancy being our second choice?`

    Mohamed Salah

If this is going to go the way of the Pieters thread we should just lock it right now
  12. Ultimatums, that seems to be the only way we do business anymore. "Hi Kevin/Jose/Joey, here's your new contract. Take it exactly as it is or piss off." "Hi Sochuax, here's our 8m bid for Maiga, take it or piss off." "Hi Charlton, here's 100k for your keeper, not a penny more. Just piss off." Sigh.
  13. For fucks sake does anybody ever sign a second contract at nufc anymore? Other than Shola, I mean
  14. We're all going to die one day. Enjoy it while it lasts.
  15. Why would he want worldwide promotion for a brand that only exists in England and how would he accomplish that through a club that's very sparsely supported outside it's own city?
  16. To be honest, the idea that we've shifted focus to him just makes me scared that we'll get neither
  17. "fucking nobody" would run circles around Babayaro tbh. No way Carr back then was as good as Simpson is now also. I remember vastly preferring both Taylor and Solano at RB.
  18. I think a lot of the problems would be solved by just replacing the "face of the club" with somebody who's not such a blatantly obvious cunt. The way we operate may be somewhat inept, but it's not necessarily shadier than anything other Premiership clubs do. IMO it's about 95% down to Llambias, his attitude, and his comical interaction with the press that make us look more unprofessional than we actually are.
  19. Aye, now they'll get to start here and spend the illustrious parts of their careers elsewhere instead
  20. Hart Samba Huth Cahill N'Zogbia Cabaye Van der Vaart Yaya Toure Tchoyi Aguero Bent Subs: Krul, Simpson, Graham, Gabbidon Pretty satisfied with my team. I'll probably manage to ruin all of their seasons now that I've gone and put them in, of course.

    Alan Pardew

Pardew absolutely should not be criticizing the management in public. I remember what happened the last time we had a manager who valued "principles"
  22. The one about no net-outlay and bringing through youths to sell at a profit thing? That's exactly what's happened tbh. Was any of that actually in the statement? I recall them just saying we were aiming to "break even" by 2015/16. My main beef is with the overarching theme of the board "not talking to the media," which has obviously turned out to be untrue.
