  1. Bracing myself for Tevez to fail to agree personal terms and start looking like even more of an idiot.
  2. Just realized that I'll be on a business trip in the US this week. I'll be miserable doing some boring s*** at the pentagon while all of you get to see NUFC down in sunny Florida.

I think you actually meant "playing"

    Sunderland...

I actually agree. He started off decent to throw us off the scent but now he's lasted more than 5 minutes, he's mocking us. He's as respectable as some tosser on Twitter (what a massive mug I am for even posting this) now though. Man, it all makes sense now.
  5. Fucking hell, 15 goals in 6 matches for Son Heung-Min now. Yes, it's the pre-season and Hamburg are playing some absolutely abysmal teams, but still, I can dream.
  6. Exactly. Come now Ian, you and I both know the "truth" about those "bids."

    Sunderland...

Sometimes I'm glad that I'm a foreign-born glory hunter rather than an actual Geordie. Less exposure to their viciously contagious idiocy.
  8. prove there why we can't compete with liverpool at the moment, must earn s*** loads from shirt sales and that Liverpool are oddly popular in SE Asia from what I gather. They've got fuck all support up here in the proper civilized world. At least our glory hunters go for a team that will actually win things.
  9. How bad is "bad?" "Ouch, out for a month or two" bad, or "Where the fuck is the other half of his leg?" bad?
  10. It's America. Pitch invaders would be tasered down in seconds.

    Sunderland...

Have to say I'm pretty weary of wearside at this point.
  12. Have to admit, their "buy overpriced English players with the expectation that they'll get even more overpriced" strategy works.
  13. It was the club's decision to pursue him not ours as fans so let's be clear on that. Either he's a good prospect or he isn't. If he's not all that, then you would have to question why bother in the first place? Swansea who must know him a lot better than we do thought enough of him to fight to keep him. What does that suggest to you? So if we decide to go after a player that proves that he's good? I have to admit I didn't expect this new-found faith in the current regime from you As for the second part, it suggests absolutely nothing.
  14. The worth of the club is being put into question because we failed to sign Neil Taylor? If everything went to plan and Swansea actually let him go for his release clause in June, he'd just be another name in the pile of freebies and loopholes Ashley has signed to "string the fans along"

    We're Doomed

Yes lets wait untill the transfer window shuts and find enrique has just gone the day before so we have no cover, History repeating itself after carol went, Just loving the cameo striker signing Demba Ba we are a laughing stock and ashley is taking us for mugs. Just out of curiosity, what's the alternative to "waiting until the transfer window shuts?" Storming the NUFC boardroom, driving a blade through the chests of Ashley and Llambias, pulling out their still-beating hearts and hanging their carcasses on the Gallowgate with "let's see you 'spend' the Carroll money now fat cockney bastards" written in their blood?

    We're Doomed

Thankfully, mongs act pretty much the same, whether they be Geordie or all the way here in the orient.

If this gets 'ed, all the other pointless new threads get 'ed too right? It's only fair.

    We're Doomed

http://img825.imageshack.us/img825/726/24343157.png Ashley is going to put all of the Carroll money into his back pocket and sign us DJ Campbell and Stephen Carr on a free. That'll be the end of our business. We'll sell Tiote, Enrique, Barton, Best, and Coloccini. If any of our backups or youngsters dare to step up and play well, we'll sell them too in January. PROFIT A couple injuries and we could really struggle next season with our cheap tosspot of a squad. Shola and Loven nailed on to start 25 games each. I like making pointless new threads because I'm cooler than everybody else.
  20. True. If we sign a good striker as we have been told we will, then we can at least feel we've done the crucial business. And we can tell ourselves thatt Abeid Mehdi will be the undiscovered gem that will make Zoggy look like the headless chicken many felt he was in any case. A headless chicken with a cracking shot, tough tackling and fantastic crossing mind. Sometimes you're trying to make this great, witty, sarcastic post. Then you over do it and the whole thing just doesn't make any sense at all.
  21. I don't think it necessarily makes sense that the success of this entire window, the validity of the current regime, nay, THE WORTH OF THE CLUB ITSELF should be decided based on whether or not we sign Charles N'Zogbia.
  22. And how much money is involved in top-end Korean football, they're surely on as much as the game can afford? Cost of living is, I would guess, about half that of living in London. Don't know about how it would be relative to the Northeast. As for wages, our absolute highest-paid players get are on 10,000p/w as far as I know. The average should be somewhere around 1/5 that.
  23. Surely we're capable of signing players from places other than France. ...Or are we?
  24. Andy Cole = £7m+Keith Gillespie Ryan Taylor = CHARLES N'ZOGBIA! :frantic: :frantic::frantic::frantic: Ryan Taylor was 6m + N'Zogbia right?
  25. Part-exchange deals don't actually exist in reality. (How many minutes till somebody comes up with a counter-example? )
