  1. Surprised that Fulham are now considered a step up from Monaco. from what I've seenof him he's pretty decent. Quick and will run all day. Not a tremendous goal threat but still good. Also I'm sure his name has always been Park Chu Young. Is yours the proper translation. . It's the phonetically correct one, but people generally just use whatever they're comfortable with. I think you're right and he's registered himself as Chu-Young
  2. Fulham (who are looking to be quite active in the summer it seems) are apparently having a look at Park Joo-Young from Monaco. Would hate to see him take a step up at the wrong time and fail when he's doing pretty decently over there.
  3. you're a newcastle fan, surely you jest.
  4. We should look at this in a positive light and consider how it hugely demoralizes Liverpool ahead of our meeting next week. The title race is effectively over.
  5. Well, I know what I'm doing for the next 30 minutes now. (goes off to read Spurs boards)
  6. A decision like that could easily send us down. A big reason why we're even in this position in the first place is an absolute metric fuckton of bad decisions.
  7. I can follow this match just by listening to the sound of the glory hunters squealing.
  8. what the f***s he got to smile about? Perhaps he's just been told about the 50k a week Tottenham Hotspur are offering him next year.
  9. As opposed to who ...? Guthrie Barton Jonas Owen Viduka Martins ? Not bad but I wouldn't want either Guthrie or Jonas to be responsible for the supply lines in a 4-3-3. I wouldn't want Geremi to be responsible for any sort of physically taxing activity period. For pete's sake, we're talking about him like he's Beckham. His distribution's not even that good, I'd be surprised if it was any better than Guthrie's at this point.

I'd still like to see him out on loan if we stayed up and had adequate cover while he was away... not that it's at all viable or likely now. I think he definitely has the quality and potential, it's just getting in hours at a higher level than reserves to prove it in my opinion. Hopefully he'll stick with us even if we go down and turn some head in the Championship next season.
  11. To be fair I think Shola was just as bewildered as Hart was
  12. The one that'll keep us up
  13. because West Ham has been somehow magically able to pay for all of their shit, Southampton haven't. it's kind of sad how there's been all this talk of them being bankrupt, yet they still manage to outspend us in the transfer market.
  14. I'm relatively confident we'll win this because if nothing else, this horrible club will want to prolong our suffering as long as possible and won't be quite ready to let us off the hook just yet.
  15. I think it was more the high profile he had, and the fact the manager didn't seem to know why he was there that was the problem. I was and am far from sure about Milne's role, but so long as the manager knows what's going on, why they're there and most importantly wants them there then there shouldn't be an issue. This is really the crux of the issue. If the guy's name wasn't Dennis Wise honestly nobody would have cared about him. Completely disagree with that. He never talked to the media, was barely visible in public, just went on with his job quietly, which was probably precisely what Ashley wanted him to do. If he was just another random Spanish bloke like Jimenez or Vertre nowhere near the same amount of vitriol would have been aimed at him.
  16. oooh now you've done it...

  18. Guys seriously, no. I know it's hard to believe but Geremi is honest to god MORE immobile and unfit than Butt or Nolan. Moreover, his delivery has long since regressed to Ryan Taylor levels. Remember West Ham at home? I do, because I almost spit in disgust when he hit the first man from corners every fucking time.
  19. ban tbh. thats abuse david. Is calling for a ban not a banable offence? You did it too, so all 3 of you are banned When did I call for a ban for someone? I could point it out for you, but then I'd be ban-able too.

  21. Honestly? NE5 is right (), these clubs will become increasingly unsustainable without more distribution of money from the top tier. Eventually, Prem clubs will start wondering if it's worth pouring money into the lower leagues just to keep Accrington Stanley afloat, and the lower division clubs will be cut loose in favor of a "breakaway" first and second divisions.
  22. I honestly think it's amazing that England has been able to sustain 5 tiers of professional clubs for so long. I honestly don't think it's going to last that much longer.
  23. Slower than Butt, not really bothered since almost being sold to Turkey, no legs to speak of... ...The fact that I had to think before hitting the "no" button is a testament to the quality of our midfield.
  24. The really sad thing is, I have.
