Watch it turn out to be wor Kim from N Korea. That might be worth it just for the comedy value. If other fans hated us for Bowyer and Barton, they'd f***ing love us with wor Kim in charge. I'd laugh at my own club and be perfectly happy about it. It will probably be the most entertainment NUFC has ever given me.

I don't class myself at naive but I'd rather not have this Sultan person as owner if all the stories are true. Supporting NUFC is difficult enough without having a criminal and evil dictator as our owner.
-
Is that really that big of an issue? Aside from the top four and their foreign imports, I'd not think that the average standard of reserve team youngster would be that different between Premiership and Championship teams.
-
Could make us a hell of a lot more attractive. I'm inclined to think he'll take what he can get especially with wages running so high (money that has to be found every month) till they are shifted. Might not be so easy to shift either. Aye, the wages until Owen/Viduka/Cacapa/etc f*** off are just dead money now the season is over. The quicker he gets out the better for him. If you think about it (assuming Owen is on £105,000 a week as many papers and FM document) then from the final day on May 24th, Owen will make £525,000, over half a million, from simply going into training for a couple of days and then sunning it and watching racehorses, in 5 weeks. There will probably be some excessive loyalty bonus for him seeing out his contract too. He should be made to work by NUFC until his contract expires in my opinion. what do you want him to do like? work in the ticket office sorting the season ticket renewels out? A job that forces him to be on the phone with fans for several hours a day? ...That would actually be brilliant.

You know, if the asking price gets any lower Shearer could probably just go buy the club himself
-
Ashley will no doubt drag on this sale for the next decade or so, and we'll end up with a brand new incompetent owner who'll take until August to appoint Paul Jewell. ....
-
Because for the past year at this club, the worst case scenario has steadfastly never failed to come true.
-
So worst case scenario: Ashley fucks up the sale, no prospective buyer in sight, Shearer walks, club goes into administration, docked 10 points, all the players are sold, relegated to League One. And there's not a fucking thing we can do about it. I hate life.
-
f***ing piece of s*** idiot. I should go just shoot him in the head. It would be worth it. Never mind goodbye Premiership football, we look set to wave goodbye NUFC.
-
I'm not confident whether he'd be any better in the Championship than he was in the Prem. They don't make the goals any wider there.
-
best for both parties if he's moved as soon as possible.
-
Head says "it's about as likely as us making top seven in the Premiership had we stayed up." Heart says "FUCK YES."
-
NUFC is gone so they need somebody else to be the "deluded club that thinks they should be in the top 6" for them. Tottenham Hotspur. No, no, no. Tottenham Hotspur is the "adorable up and coming club that is BOUND to make the top 4 one of these days."
-
Krul can have all the cup games. Best solution all around imo.
-
We can't just stick Krul in "because he'll leave us otherwise." We need to play the player who's good enough, pure and simple and we know that Harper is. We don't know if Krul is. Yes, Krul may very well be better than Harper one day but he needs to prove it first. Preparing for the Premiership before we're actually in the Premiership is a great way to make sure that we never get there in the first place.

i heard his Agent on Radio 5 today, saying there was too much needed at Sunderland and that he would be interested in Celtic. Lazy fucker. Turns down a real challenge but offers himself up for possibly the easiest job in professional football That's an interesting thought. I think you are porbably right Celtic is the easiest managerial job in football. Can't think of too many more easy. Newcastle. All you have to do is come, fail for a year, and leave with your fat compensation payoff. I'm surprised more aren't lining up to come here just for the money!
-
Yes, aforementioned players all have around 50+ caps
-
I had this on an earlier thread, but since nobody read it

I'm sorry Kaka but that complete nonsense, once again, of course we will be looking at players with a proven record at this level and we'll have the cash to buy them, I'm sure about that. Looking at League 1 players makes no bloody sense whatsover. i'm with afar on this one - the average wage bill for the CCC is 9m or something and they papers (i know) reckon we'll attempt to maintain a 40m wage bill for a season to try and go up we'll be the biggest hitters down there by far and with the sales of martins & bassong, plus peanuts adding up from the likes of smith, shola or whoever else we ship there should be money to spend on new players from the CCC we need to buy players who aren't only gonna exist for a season, i.e. some scrappers who get us up who we've then got to offload to replace with PL players this is why loans are key for me, spend what money we have wisely getting the best players down there who have the potential to improve then flesh out the squad with loans all depends on fat mike though i suppose League One, here we come!

Good. Sounds positive to me. Actually reading the god damn fine print has been a skill woefully absent for most in this club for a while now.
-
Like we're talking about f***ing Mourinho here It's not a matter of Shearer's ability. The fallout if Ashley manages to alienate not just one but TWO legends will be unbelievable. He'll shit his pants and try to sell again, fail, and we're headed to a nice mid-table finish in the Championship.
-
Jesus christ if they fuck this up and lose Shearer that's really the end for this club.
-
It's great that Man U lost but man, Park had such a bad game
