I think if you look at his expression (I know, grasping at straws here) he's clearly quite surprised. Probably just mistimed his jump on an overeager lunge for the ball. Certainly no intent to physically harm Anichebe. He should still be more careful though. Thoroughly deserves any ban he gets.
