  1. Our kits used to designed and made to a really nice, high quality. This thing is off the peg bollocks that a Sunday league team should be wearing. That's the difference.
  2. Looks like a template local club kit with some shit ironed on. Good and cheap.
  3. Just quickly scanned updated xG stats to see where we were vs. that diabolical list posted before lockdown on Sky I think. After 37 games we're 2nd worst in xG for (behind Palace) and 3rd worse in xGA (above Villa and Norwich). Couldn't be fucked finding any more but basically that is still the real story of our season despite the fluked results and supposed uptick. We don't score and concede for fun. Looking forward to next season already, albeit I absolutely won't be watching.
  4. One thing I would say is that if it does go through I hope the Saudi's are nowhere near hands on running the club they're fucking basket cases
  5. I think we'd have been worse off personally. ASM has carried this team, neither Rondon nor Perez have that ability.
  6. I think teams have worked him out to an extent, in that the last few games out wide they've had 3 men on him and crowded him out. Bruce obviously doesn't have an answer to this tactically so tried throwing up top yesterday where he was just as isolated as our strikers always are. Personally I'd play Lazaro and him on opposite sides and coach them to work on the quick switch the moment ASM gets mobbed.
  7. He's benefitted massively from taking over a Rafa coached squad, even if he has made them shitter along the way. Rondon and Perez scored 25 goals combined. Joelinton scored 2. Don't care about transfer fees. There is -23 goals there. That's huge. I'll never accept the Joelinton argument because Bruce being the manager is one reason why he's been our first choice striker all season. Bottom line Joelinton scored 2 goals. We are 23 goals down on Rondon and Perez. You can't gloss over it. That's just a riff on the injuries argument, "nothing can be done" etc. Ignores the fact Bruce has injury crises at every club he manages and in Joelintons case assumes no other manager could get more than two goals out of him and also assumes he'd have got 25 goals from Rondon & Perez, which he absolutely would not have done.
  8. About the Waugh quotes from the last page, one thing I'd say is that had there been some form of approval from the PL even informally the buyers wouldn't be telling anyone atm. Say for example the PL told them we'll approve/have approved but want to wait until the season is finished then that info would be getting released by anyone imo. Not saying that's what's happening just that there will be a point in the approval process where the buyers, sellers & PL will all know something the journalists don't know if that that makes sense. Even if they're being told "still with PL" doesn't necessarily mean it is, 100%.
  9. Once the season is finished now imo. Then the PL can hide from the fallout for a couple of months.
  10. I wonder what this wretched twats patter is going to be if we don't beat Brighton and thus he doesn't beat last season's points total. I reckon he thought it was nailed on a few weeks ago and was banking on living off it for the foreseeable.
  11. he's still trying to play like he did under rafa but the difference now is players aren't making the same runs to open up space for him, and play is more compressed in our own defensive areas so he'll get caught more often The first goal was just a bad mistake. He had two options for a pass in loads of space, no Spurs player near him. Was just a terrible touch. Sure, just a general point about him really. He needs to start hoofing it if he's gonna play under Steve Bacon
  12. he's still trying to play like he did under rafa but the difference now is players aren't making the same runs to open up space for him, and play is more compressed in our own defensive areas so he'll get caught more often
  13. Astonishing the pundits aren't crowding about that stat
  14. By the rights owner e.g. the league. for sure, but this is presumably the first time one country within a region has refused to deal with the country that owns the rights? i mean what if NK won the asian region, surely the PL couldn't expect SK to either suck it up or just not watch PL games it's like everyone is going out of their way to find a new angle to shit things up
  15. This. If you understand how the geopolitical situation in ME, then you know it's almost impossible that Saudi just let Qatar win because they tired of waiting. Other than them publicly backing down over piracy of course. Other than that there's no way they back down.
  16. Upson? 57 appearances in 6 seasons suggests he wasn’t great at the Gunners. That wasn't the mantra though, was it? Just "produce one CB worthy". Post never said they had to be great at Arsenal. That said I didn't realise they bought him from Luton as per above post. I meant considering how often they churn out strikers, wingers, full backs that could well be considered world class after Wenger took over imo they never did the same for CBs.
  17. just senderos and djourou then, shabby
  18. wonder if they're going for a Keith Bishop special, wait until the season is finished so there's not countless pundits and people debating the decision before and after the matches...approve once the season is finished and let it blow over during the summer
  19. Suppose they scouted Toure as well but it's kind of incredible when you think about it, considering it's the one position they always have problems with.
  20. Occurred to me today watching Arsenal that despite a conveyor belt of talent coming through their academy going back 20+ years they've not managed to produce (or even scout) one CB worthy of the name have they?
  21. Hilarious watching him sprint tracking back today, I'm sure he was literally going backwards
  22. For good this time. for what?
  23. If they do they'll just peddle him as soon as he goes on a bad run. Just delays the inevitable Amanda knows would be the most disappointing & amazing thing if after all this it goes through and staveley is as clueless as ashley
  24. didn't realise kouibaly was 29, for the money napoli will be wanting that's a fair old age imo
