suppose if we have hope on the pardew front it may that ashley has decided to aim for younger players (not always of course) with potential to improve on the pitch and of course financially, it's just possible he may try the same with the manager should the time come to replace sackless
-
did i miss the meeting where it was decided pardew alternatives can only be drawn from the hat containing piles of shit?
-
Don't massively disagree with the overall sentiments, but had we taken our chances yesterday, we'd have been 5 up by half time and out of sight. Both teams missed chances. You're right yeah, a bit like Southampton who should have been out of sight first half vs the Mackems. I've noticed people reporting more and more often that we can't 'perform' for more than 90 minutes these days too, eventually the penny will drop.

what the fuck will this clown do when he doesn't have shola to throw on to try and lose a game? probably switch willo to striker in the second half of games crazy that all the people lauding his away record, as good as it is, can't see that it'll come full circle - teams won't consistently miss sitters against you every season...when they start to score them we'll be fucked again, it's more or less how we went from 5th to nearly being relegated

hope he taps this shit against the mackems -
can't find the post but someone said that pardew is a millstone around the neck of this squad sums it up perfectly for me, he's draining the joy and life out of the actual football while ashley and kinnear work on everything else

why pardew, just fucking why?

fallout according to the koreans, not footballing reasons Fair enough i'd take him in a heartbeat personally

fallout according to the koreans, not footballing reasons

mackems i know love him like, they say he's the best midfielder they've had in ages hope we sign him
-
Then coming back "Fuck this shit! Actually, I need these" would they not just be going for an early pie or pint rather than leaving? seems fucking crazy to leave that early like

That's a totally different point to the question you asked about what Everton will do in 4 months. They're pretty broke in the grand scheme so unless the rules change I see no reason why they shouldn't use them to their advantage.
-
Have Lukaku and Traore bulldoze the fuck out of every single opposition player for 4 months and we won't need one. and after the 4 months? i imagine the idea would be slow progress, in the summer perhaps sign one permanent player and loan another 3? no reason why they can't keep loaning people in, it's not like there's a finite number of quality players available on loan that diminishes as the years go by

cabaye was lost in the man city game for vast chunks of it like, me and the lad i was watching with kept looking for cabaye when sissoko or anita had the ball from the defence and he was nowhere near them most of the time...either he, or pardew got his role very wrong in that game, though this is the wrong thread of course
-
depends how much they want rid brett, if they don't care are willing to give him time then they can demand what they want...if they want shot they'll be lucky to get 6m market-wise aye he's worth a lot less than the 12m they paid, in the same way cisse is probably a 5m striker now...but considering any potential buyers know we've broke him and he's finished with us we'll probably get bids of 1m
-
Can't really remember tbh, just remember watching him and thinking we've dodged a 12 million pound bullet with this lad. He was breaking down his teams attacks rather than being on the end of them perfect pardew striker then no? gameplan goes back to front football electroball or whatever it was, i.e. ping it into de jong the moment we get it, he immediately loses possession and thus the midfield and defence don't have time to lose shape by trying to score goals 0-0 our way to 38 points and pray to krishna it's enough to stay up every season job done

newcastle have long admired ince (available for sale at a decent fee by all reports) have they? wonder exactly how fucking long they were thinking of admiring him for...

shame for the lad, finally fit (?) and isn't a workhorse so he's fucked with us...should be actively trying to move him on for everyone's benefit

Agreed, BUT, Anita was having a very good game as well, and was as likely to pop up with an assist, a goal, or even just create an opening as anyone else on the pitch. It isn't an argument about whether Anita or Cabaye should have been taken off. Both of them could have been kept on the pitch, and with a slight re-jig of the formation, we could have kept the pressure on. The point is rendered moot in this case because of the injury to Nasri IMO. is the right answer i suppose, don't necessarily disagree with keeping "match-winners" on the pitch, who would (?), but in the context of that game i disagreed fundamentally with taking anita off and always will
-
Does the fact that play was halted 6 minutes almost immediately after Anita came off not have a bigger bearing on the game? The flow was badly disrupted and never really recovered from the Nasri injury imo. Harsh to say it was down to Anita alone. Not that it really warrants discussion as to why we leave on our corner/free kick taker for a period where we were basically chucking it in their box as much as we could with Willo/Saylor regularly up there. Yeah, I didn't say it was the sole reason. I'm merely saying that taking Anita off was the wrong call in the context of the game and stand by that completely. Cabaye was having a very average game tbh, by his own recent standards. The injury fucked is big time though, totally agree.

that whole attempt to play him as a #10 was utterly laughable management from pardiola like
