  1. senseless approach from him today, regardless of how this finishes - he ensured we were on the back foot from kick off
  2. without anita our possession reminds me so much of last year, static and aimless - anita provides the angles and quick movement that have changed so much for us
  3. Have you ever played football? There's always a few people on the team who like to dribble and sometimes don't see your runs, doesn't mean you stop doing them precisely
  4. If you've busted a gut to find space a few times and he's not passed the ball I reckon it would put you off expending so much energy every time he gets the ball. He passes the ball when there's options available. ho doesn't. we've the wrong manager for it to work, ben arfa has the ability - as Dave said he's a fucking magician and sees an amazing pass - but it'd have to be a committed attacking gameplan that's stuck with for a period of time for it to work, and worked on in training of course no point in throwing him in now and again because it clearly doesn't work, the rest of the team stand still when he's got the ball because there's no understanding, pardew doesn't believe in it thus they clearly do not work on it...they need to be progressively working on getting beyond him so he's either got a decent option to pass or to use the space for himself i honestly believe it's instruction too, pardew is telling them to stand when ben arfa starts going at people, i think he sees the lad as an individual and the rest of the team have to protect his potential for turning the ball over said all this ages ago mind
  5. I actually do believe he's thinking of the Cardiff cup game, still got the selection wrong imo. But in his twisted mind he's got it spot on. we might very well go and win as we did at cardiff the last time it looked like he got it wrong, but fucking hell they're managerless and haven't won in 100 games or something - best make sure we go and contain them was reading today actually only sunderland have a worse record in 2013 then WBA...
  6. people calling for him to get more players in the window as well, he knows very little but flogging the same 11-14 players until they're virtually dead he'd only get a new striker then keep him on the bench so we were solid enough hasn't a fucking clue how to rotate properly
  7. I agree he should never been put out wide, was an ill judgement and i've criticised Pardw for not having the balls to tell Ba to fuck off sooner with his demands to play centrally and giving in to them when the team should have came first. However because Cisse played a handful of games out wide, he was then put back in the centre and was given a long period of time there but the goals dried up and didn't look half the player. You see other strikers around the country going on wings then back through the middle and so forth but don't suddenly look like a striker who would struggle 3 divisions downwards. Mental to think it's Pardew's fault when players go through bad spells, and let the player off with a large share of the criticism. Correct me if I'm wrong but it might be the worst spell of his career?
  8. or his agent is clever enough to know that some higher payers than us might well be along That's how I read it, I think whether we agree a deal with QPR or not, he's not likely to want to take a pay cut. We'll have to up our wage ceiling to get him interested and then hope no other club decides he's not so bad after all. I could see Spurs thinking they could use a striker. One that actually scores. aye spurs, to be honest maybe even arsenal wage-wise i think they might try to swing it with bonuses or whatever - pardew went on the record saying we have the finance to sign him and we all know he's kosher as fuck
  9. lets look at the cisse example scored goals his whole career, every type of goal in fact comes to the toon and continues that form, in the meantime pards accommodates him by throwing ba out wide who stops scoring start the next season and he puts ba back in the middle and cisse out wide, cleaning the bogs and such, and then ba gets sold...cisse never recovers his form after being moved back into the middle and being asked to play like ba i don't know brett, i just don't know
  10. or his agent is clever enough to know that some higher payers than us might well be along
  11. He does and he'll also take a large portion of the praise for his revival in that case Players and manager need to share responsibility through good times and bad. Easy to place the blame on the managers door step, not as easy to place it solely on the player. think you were pulled about this before no? we sign a player who comes in and plays amazing, as you've just admitted pardew was complicit in his turn to ratshit, yet he deserves praise for getting him back to where he was before he ruined him? you see how that doesn't quite work surely?
  12. your man pardew has to shoulder a massive portion of the blame for that 1 - 1.5 years of nonsense from cheick mind
  13. can't be real man, it'd be the most amazing thing in the world
  14. one on ones i mean individually suarez is miles ahead RvP is the classier, more intelligent player mind EDIT: bit like the messi/ronaldo thing for me, ostensibly you get the impression that RvP could run games if he was played there, but that suarez could not
  15. thought i remembered that is fonte the one that pardew did the dirty on and all?
  16. was lallana not the player pardew was rumoured to be after when he got here and everyone was horrified?
  17. well, the fact they have 10 teams "around them" (or lower echelons of the league) to play at home where they are much stronger suggests that the fixtures weren't stacked in their favour as IP has stated and they've failed to beat a lot of these teams away from home depends how you look at it
  18. very few teams escape by being quality to be fair, not sure that beating teams higher up the table should be seen as such a bad thing vs. the usual route of winning 6 pointers and such i think they'll stay up...IP has listed 10 home games they might reasonably expect to win, i reckon they'll win about half of them and take some points away from home to scrape might depend who they sign/sell of course
  19. he has that thing that rooney did (does) where you just look at him and know he's got the goods...wilshere, barkley +1 in the MF in the WC for me
  20. aye he's a decent one, rodriguez certainly looks like he's maybe worth a roll of the dice slim pickens up front and at the back though eh?
  21. take this out of the other clubs transfers thread, the discussion about barkley making the WC (i'd have him in the team) who could hodgson take that would not necessarily be an "established" name to try and build for the future? fill in the blanks... GK DF MF barkley morrison FW
  22. me too, forget which game i saw him in now but he fucking ran it (maybe liverpool) the alternative makes no sense to me; barry, lampard, gerrard AGAIN - what's the fucking in searing heat, someone like barkley might just go there and be the player of the tournament, and if he's not then it'll do him well for the next euros
