2014/15 NUFC Kits - New third kit revealed on page 143
mrmojorisin75 replied to bowlingcrofty's topic in Football
I think it has 1 more year to go. I think they have been present at fans forums in regards to next seasons shirts. i'd really like to think some fucker told them to stop making shit kits -
Nah, the guy's motivation will be gone. He's on the downward trajectory of his career now. These signings never work for us. We need to get out there and find a big physical CB who is on the rise. there will be a big physical cunt knocking about the french or dutch leagues somewhere, no doubt about it

i'd be surprised if we got more than a nominal fee for him, but i suppose an old acquaintance like hughton might cough up a bit, or someone daft like palace who need grafters

wonder how he's spent the last few days since citeh put 6 past west ham? here's an exclusive shot of him coming into training yesterday to explain his ideas: http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-A3Nx2Mnjv28/Tq9lJoe2tPI/AAAAAAAAAUQ/sTo7AAcLhOE/s400/tumblr_lmg3ck8mRZ1qc63sno1_500.jpg

ronaldo's right about the football under hughton, it wasn't very good but then i'd not term it "utter shit" personally

wonder if these will try to get barkley? be the best signing they could make imho

Never said any of that tbf

WTF. Just wondering what the going rate is to sign one player to win one title?

Concise. True. it is but for some reason this post has tipped the scales with me, i'm so f***ing sick of hearing this particular tale of woe Agreed, but that's what the truth does sometimes. Time is rapidly running out for people of my generation to see us win something, it already has for the person whose funeral i will be attending tomorrow afternoon. Forgive me for being a bit of an old cynic. It's actually more when it's used to justify how bad Pardew is that it really gets me. You're right like, I've hopefully got 20 years left in me and am resigned to the best being no more relegations

Week 2: Who was/is better? Les Ferdinand or Andy Cole
mrmojorisin75 replied to Froggy's topic in Football
the 0-1 to manyoo at home Not just that game, his goals dried up in the 2nd half of that season when the pressure was on. of course, but that the epitomy of him losing his form when we most needed it, as you stated -

30m total with wages? does that even cover the prize money you get for winning the league? not that money is everything like, i just find it an interest attitude that such an expensive short-term signing is deemed 100% justified when you may be lumbered with his wages for years and no trophies to keep you warm at night

Aye the 2nd point is what I was getting at, was definitely a major reason for the appointment seeming sensible at the time. aye, this and the fact that we were on the fucking bones of our arse and needed a manager who could keep a team in the league without spending 18m on michael owen or whatever it was on albert fucking luque he was perceived heavily at that time to be a manager who could get things done "on the cheap", turns out not really

Had Shearer not been injured, it would have made sense financially - Sir Les was 31 and Spurs were giving us 6m for him, a lot in those days. We had bought Tomasson who had played well alongside Shearer in the pre-season but was NOT a CF so he struggled when Shearer got injured - still went on to become a star at AC Milan.. We were unlucky - nobody touched Shearer at Goodison, he fell backwards on his ankle when stretching for a ball and the injury was catastrophic. Sir Les had already given his word to Spurs that he would go so wouldn't change his mind. The whole thing was a disaster... was there that day, what a fucking pile of shite that was man
