  1. Fair point, but to me we look much improved either way. Obviously if he sticks Tiote and Jonas straight back in then it's a big mistake. i'm worried about the second half, there were holes for allardyce to exploit but i'm not sure pardew knows how to open them up...in fact i'm sure he doesn't
  2. point is if HBA is gonna wander inside too then the LW needs to provide some width to stretch them, marv isn't doing that so i'd rather see santon as he'll play the touchline and look to beat a man
  3. this first half is just the players minus pardew, he's been robbed of his ability to field a negative team and the lads on the park are trying to play positive football, they just don't know how to do after not playing it for so long wanted that in there before anyone praises fucking pardew for us being 0-0 at HT (with WHU creating the most danger mind you)
  4. neither is marv and we have no other options do we? hba left, who plays right?
  5. it's not working, take him off, dummet to LB and santon LW
  6. we have no ideas in the final 3rd, all movement stops 30 yards from goal...it's very strange
  7. exactly, at the moment he's on his own with the pass and move, but if it catches on with a couple more then he's gonna rock...he'll be best in a 3 man mid imo with sissoko +1
  8. Yep, he plays in triangles as well but we're really not used to it. As a cm partnership in 4-4-2 with sissoko I'm terrified mind, gap between them and the defence is there to be exploited. Fully expect allardyce to do so as well.
  9. Anita is quality man. Ball. Pass. Move. Repeat. We've not had anyone doing that for years, love how when he intercepts he is instantly looking for a forward pass and run. Football basics.
  10. jesus christ man, i heard owen was going to be commenting this season but actually experiencing it his voice is horrific
  11. Not heard anything about this from the magedia. I went on the shortbus to see if the slackjaws were more informed but they were too busy talking about the SJP gates.... ehehehehehe
  12. had people i liked before him but suppose it had to be ginola, everything i wanted to be in a footballer...
  13. Hate to say it but I think you are in a classic downward spiral of crippling pessimism, bolstered by often plausible but ultimately false realities that I fear you believe are all too real in their consequences. You are at a stage now where I sadly fear there is no escape from your Pardew focussed dysphoric state as this forum just provides ample opportunity to maintain depression through constant defeatist re-enforcement and excessive rumination. i think you know fuck all tbh...tell me, how many times have you a seen a manager recover a situation like pardew finds himself in?
  14. Good point but i'd rather a manager stood up to owners than let himself get bummed. Ashley wouldn't appoint Poyet if he stands up for himself. Yeah, but we have Ashley, that's the thing. So if the manager makes too much of a fuss he'll just be sacked. And chaos. Hence why i'm sticking with Pards, at least he's half coping with it off the pitch at the moment even though he knows things are f***ed up, just now his job to get things right on the pitch starting with tomorrow. hold on, hold on, you should probably flesh this out a bit with some facts Keegan walked out on him, took him to court and won. Fairly factual, Ashley's way or the highway. so totally the opposite of what was said and what i bolded then? Ashley would have sacked him regardless if Keegan walked or not. Keegan kicked up a fuss and chaos was caused from high up. That's what Ian was implying, Ashley wouldn't allow a manager to come in and do things his way, if he tried, like Keegan wanted to, he's gone, that simple. ian can imply whatever the f*** he likes, but ashley sacked allardyce for being s*** and signing people on mental contracts, keegan walked, and he sacked hughton because they wanted their own man in...and that's the sum of that really Own man? He appointed Hughton! suppose i meant a man he owns then...still, you're wrong... He owned Hughton, he was just a yes man exactly the same, i'm not really sure where you are going with your point here? If he wanted Hughton sacked, he should of upgraded, instead he just side stepped, some would argue downgraded. hard to say, hughton seemed a half arsed effort that worked, obviously we now know that llamblias had huge influence and pardew is his mate so you have to assume (!) that llamblias was a major influence in events and told ashley (who clearly knows nothing, or cares less) that pardew was the man, which he then bought after the 5th and gave him a massive contract llamblias is now gone, and kinnear suggests pardew will follow
  15. we don't have a suitable manager now, so i agree, valid

EDIT: HA! you cut the important bit with a sneaky edit I don't even know if your talking about me or Ian now, i certainly haven't edited any quotes or bold markers? i apologise, is there a quote limit? 'cause i quoted you where you'd quoted the bit i bolded then in what i quoted my post was gone...thought you'd done some sneaky EDIT my apologies sir

  20. the thing that certain people can't see is that the players so obviously know this, they don't believe in the man and what he's telling them, the net result is on the pitch /assumption

  22. the point for me is balance, if you go all out attack every game and win enough then fine you'll get on like keegan did but to go all out defend and not win you'll fail like pardew does one of my favourite ever CL games was ac milan vs. juventus which ended 0-0...it was a defensive masterclass from both teams but we're not even seeing defensive masterclasses...we're a fucking shambles Pardew is being shit, I know. I just wouldn't expect Poyet to be great shakes in terms of having a go at teams (nor provide a Milan/Juve defensive masterclass for that matter). Plus he whines. My God does he whine. /not bitter in the slightest. none of that, none of it at all suggests he'd be worse than pardiola
  23. what are chelsea currently bidding? if i was moyes i'd spurs it...30m, lukaku and mata please or you can fuck off
