i really think he's what HBA needs as well if he's allowed to get beyond the ball from deep, said it from the first time i saw him play but reading this thread is laughable, we've got pardiola in charge so he'll either be deployed as the #10 again or told to stand still in midfield and protect the defence
-
sure they'll happy on the beach for a few weeks, then get back to training watching videos of how to stop norwich from tearing us to shreds at SJP or whatever the fuck it is pardew has them doing (that isn't actually football coaching) hopefully reality doesn't dawn on them 'til the window is shut

shagging a stunna?

one thing i think we missed badly was the old tiote, the one who could turn an opposition attack or a period of opposition pressure into our attack by winning a tackle he had no right to win and turning the tables it was something that lead the rest of the team by example at times, they dragged themselves into games that this season we didn't...cabaye does it from time to time but it's not his game if we could find an effective, less-cuntish version of cattermole i think it'd do wonders for the team personally...bit of blood and thunder to mix in with the artists so in summary we need a new version of the good tiote
-
pardew never said that did he? surely not
-
urgh, 4 years of mourinho creating a them against us atmosphere great manager but i wish he'd change his fucking act
-
think mccarthy was the one who stood out to me at the end of last season (not this) when wigan played their 3-5-2 or whatever and ripped us to shreds....sure he totally ran the show that day and dominated our midfield
-
perhaps, if whelan wasn't involved

dortmund or snuderland the agony of choice

think of that generally, how many cases can you name in the last 2 years where a player has a certain flaw and we've obviously improved it (or even a certain aspect of our play)? e.g.: problem - ba & cisse unable to form a partnership problem - cisse can't stay onside problem - williamson & simpson very poor on the ball and only able to hoof it out of defence a lot of the time problem - tiote getting cards every match for reckless challenges problem - tiote's passing and generally thinking he's eusebio problem - cabaye playing too deep all the time problem - chronic lack of movement within the side as a whole there are countless more and we've improved none

never gonna happen while we're frozen like rabbits in the andy carroll headlights though

guardian reckon all these could be on the way out of citeh: Costel Pantilimon, Joleon Lescott, Gareth Barry, Carlos Tevez, Roque Santa Cruz, Scott Sinclair, John Guidetti, Maicon, Edin Dzeko we'd be stupid not top punt in for Guidetti surely?

hughton might have the smarts to adapt to the type of player we've purchased, hard to say 'cause he's never really worked with that calibre of player as a manager
-
He made his team go out and attack those 2 games after weeks of playing it safe according to the Norwich fan at my work. Also see Hughton's comments from before the WBA game about having to go all out for the win. It worked and they won convincingly. Compare that to our manager's approach to the QPR game and the usual huge period of hanging on to the lead that we had and you'll see what needs seeing. It also worked but the squads they had to play with show what we're dealing with here. In other words Pardew was never an upgrade and that's not the reason he was brought in. Nobody's saying Hughton is perfect but the change wasn't warranted. pardew's fear-based approach to escaping relegation was a sight to behold really, i don't you'll ever see another manager ever try such a thing 'cause it's so fucking stupid as regards the bit in bold i agree the change wasn't warranted, i'm also not convinced hughton would have been any more successful on the pitch than pardew this season given the type of player carr has been buying...none of them are suited to play the game of either manager

absolutely this, bin shola then: cisse, new, gouff and campbell would be fine to start the season selling cisse, FFS
