we rivaled them for a season, maybe two you think that's why they're still singing the shearer song? seriously? we were as much a rival to them as blackburn were
-
fuck all to do with it

me and cp40 never got on but fair play for this thread, looking back from the start the amount of delusional idiots is terrifying..cp40 saw what was coming as did i same as reading back on the would you take 17th thread, madness how can some people know so little about football?

It's amazing how they still harbour this grudge against us and shearer, we are a non entity to them now, we are in no shape or form any sort of a challenge, we are not a local rival to them but their fans still seem to act as if we are. When they we playing boro recently, they sung for long periods of the game, that song, that they copied from us who twisted it from the mackems original version. They've also got other fans singing it now. Unbeliveable, why do they care ?? i'll take that on they care because it's something they can't and never will understand, no-one (as far as i'm aware) has ever made a move/gesture the likes of shearer did for newcastle and stuck with it for them to them trophies are everything, to us it's the club - the way i see it they simply can't comprehend a man would turn THEM down for what shearer let himself in for for a decade we can, however, and that's why we love him
-
I can't believe that professionals can be affected by banners and protests. We lost that day simply because the team wasn't good enough. What was our excuse for losing to the likes of Blackburn and the Mackems? banner flashbacks like nam, but worse, keiths in 'em

yip, to battle boys
-
by the way, anyone remember discussing his goals record when he signed? i.e. he scored 4 goals in his career or something and wore the mask each time wonder if he's been carrying that mask all season
-
stop crying i say, over the season there are times you play teams with injuries and suspensions that are unlucky for them we've had our games this season and pretty much blown them all if hull face a shite man u team then so be it
-
no no, granted, and it shouldn't be long term - read my viduka comments to yorkie, he looked like another owen/viduka who'd just gave up on themselves but in the last couple of games he's improved i'd add butt to that to - butt's always put the effort in but his game was more focused against 'boro - break the play up and little else has to be down to coaching
-
i honestly think since moving to left back he's stepped it up, looks fitter and hungrier than i've ever seen him in the shirt he is not the same player who's been coasting to his 70k a week, just as viduka isn't - granted his days as a winger are gone but i'm pleased by his application at LB at a total time of need for the club

might as well get this in now; since when were we scared of fulham? fuck fulham, get about them the point are ours HOWAY THE LADS -
woah, this threads turned round fast so i can say what i was gonna say shearer, taylor, robson et al could find 70k behind one sofa, get on with it lads or better still someone call mike ashley and teach him a thing or two about positive publicity, the fat cunt
-
you never said that but the point is intimated - don't target the outfield players and we're down regardless of whether we have harper and given in goals at the same time we cannot, CANNOT go another season ignoring the glaring deficiencies in our outfield staff harper will be fine for another season, if he's that bad krul will cover simple as
-
there's never been a team in the history of football was relegated because of the keeper harper might not be given but lets not get carried away here, behind a coherent defence harper will be fine for the time being we have much, much bigger priorities man
-
Any player who can't score goals should never be considered for such an advanced position. He could though, we've just never seen him in that position enough. When he was running at the Boro players the other night and won us that free kick, he looked threatening. All i'm saying is give it a chance, it might work. for the first time in a long, long time i'm confident we have a manager who is fresh enough and strong enough to make the right call i reckon shearer will keep spidey but he'll change his role in some unexpected way a la keegan and owen

dude, any chance you could stop posting? forever each time i look at your avatar a little piece of me dies

Michael Owen - Would you be disappointed if he stayed?
mrmojorisin75 replied to Liam Liam Liam O's topic in Football
aye, summik like this - we'd both benefit for it can't see us getting a better striker in either -
was reading somewhere that's been a mistake of southgate, lad should be in the team - has even had european teams sniffing about from what i remember, talented but southgate ain't having it for some reason
-
Our strip would look 10 times better with that collar a cynic might say that clubs like AC value the shirt more than the money they can make from selling numbers for the patch on the back fuckin idiots eh?
-
you can't coach him to cross for headers if it's not in his game, what he needs coaching into him is to get his head up and pick a pass once he's beat the first man if he adds that to his game and we add some more movement to the midfield we'll be laughing
-
anyone see that stat about downing before our match? more shots than anyone else in the league or something, 85 iirc, maybe 65 scored one or something, send him to spurs where he belongs
-
fuck me, what a load of chelp about nothing bit of one on one coaching and a modicum of attacking talent elsewhere in the team he'll settle down we need to keep him on one side and sign a player with quality in the cross on the other, best formula in the game - wingers with contrasting styles even for the 5m euro he's a bargain, anyone thinking he should leave is a clown
