also in negotiations you need to have something to offer, a bargaining chip, and NUSC simply have nothing...they might if things go from bad to worse and they get a popular following but right now they are just stampy feet kids as you say

what would be your basis for appointing grant then, out of interest? 20 years experience in management with a great club record, did very well with Chelsea in a difficult position and with a dressing room probably in 300 times more turmoil than ours, doesn't seem easily rattled and his teams played decent football. edit: also according to wiki he likes to give young players chances GET HIM IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIN!!!!

aren't they still in the CL? big phil was sacked before he got anywhere near it to be fair... Aye, but he's been sacked before he could get anywhere near where Grant got. Both points still stand. both points? first one stands i guess, second is only because he was sacked surely? not really a fair assessment imo Course it is, Grant wasnt sacked mid way through the season. Scolari was. huh? so the 'far superior' you put in front of scolari was meant to say what exactly? seemed to me it was sarcy and was implying that grant was at least the equal of scolari, which i can see no basis for other than a decent season with chelski where they ended up with nothing

Smith is captain for the reserves tonight though. should help bring the lad along i'd have thought, bit of advice from smudger about how and when exactly to chop someone up on the edge of your own box to give away a dangerous free kick

again, the probability that our reserves are utter shit doesn't preclude the possibility that this lad is good does it? however if what we've got is total rubbish then chances are we'd throw this lad in ahead of schedule, give him a chance, nothing wrong with that hope he does well

Yeah, they must rate him. or everyone else in the same position is that bad ? Or he's highly rated? one doesn't preclude the other, in fact one probably leads to the other directly

bruce has only used the "geordie" angle for his own ends imo...doesn't give a fuck, probably (rightly also imo) see's us as the sort of bigger-than-birmingham under achievers he could take over and prove himself worthy of the man yoo job

Care to expand why ? IMO, Grant is a no-mark jobs-for-the-boys manager. Has done nothing significant in his career. When the time comes to part with Kinnear, which IMO should be by the end of the season at the latest, we need the right manager in charge. Grant is not the right manager to move us forward in my eyes. this, but i wouldn't say i'd rather have JFK if it came down to either of them being given the gig mid-long term I agree with you to a certain extent. It's just that despite him being the inferior manager of the two, I like the passionate JFK type over the cold and soulless Grant type. ah righto, yeah grant is a bit of an empty vessel i suppose hopefully it'll end up with neither in charge

was gonna say "this", but not really this...just neither of them please

not sure why anyone would WANT to know what went on tbh as it'll come down to one of 2 things: 1. the pro-KK viewpoint which would then lead to more protests and vitriol toward the owner/wise/pat butcher/the south etc... til the day he left 2. the opposite of this which would mean KK was a piehead asking to sign thierry henry etc.... on a budget of a packet of tudor crisps who then walked when he was told he couldn't, basically having your memories of the man torn apart and used as toilet paper best solution all round imo

he's gonna fuckin love it here then

Where did Joe come from? We were offering 6 games at a club that was soon to be sold! If that was still the case, yes, bring in s*** Aidy, but it isn't the case anymore. Make up your mind. First your saying Aidy Boothroyd isnt good enough for this club, then your saying unless its a 6 game deal. FFS either you think he could do a job here or he couldnt. I think he could. Does he excite me? NO. Do I think he will bring us the champions league? NO. Do I believe we can attract someone who can excite me and deliver us the champions league? NO. Im looking at the situation realistically (Ask you teacher what that word means). Are you f***ing kidding me? someone doing a 6 game job is the same as a full time appointment to you? I think JK/AB are both f***ing s****. For 6 games, they're bareable. Anymore, s***. Dumb f***. Glad to see you didnt bite Run this by me again in your mind. We approach a big name manager like Jol or Advocaat or Scolari and we ask them to take the job full time: Mike: Hows about it then? Top Manager: Who do I report to? Mike: Dennis Wise TM: Who? Mike: Little dennis, used to play for chelsea, managed millwall and leeds in the lower leagues TM: And whats he going to do to help me? Mike: he will buy you the players TM: OK. How much can I spend? Mike Well, depends on what we get from sales really, plus £8 million TM: Right we shift MOwen, and Viduka out and raise some cash Mike: Well, no theyre out of contract TM: well who have we got to raise some funds? Mike: Shola, duff, butt TM: Who? Mike: Shola, lazy cunt, scored 50 goals in 10 years, Duff the little irish bloke plays one good game every 20, and butt the ginger completes two passes in three games TM: Were fucked. Mike: Welcome on board TM: Fuck off That is how imagine your scenario might turn out. this is one of the most bizarre exchanges i've ever seen on this board, it's like both of you are replying to totally different posts in a second language you're not conversant in

And how the f*** would they know? Im not saying they do know but there all intelligent lads and there all proper football supporters and they all think Ashley is a joke . Maybe there wrong and maybe im wrong (I hope so) but they all think Ashley doesnt want to be there and he's doing all he can to recoup every penny he's invested. I f***ing hope there wrong but it seems like that to me as well Please explain exactly what's wrong with the man wanting to recoup his investment? If he wants to recoup his investment then it shows he hasnt got the best interest of the club at heart, surely even you can see that? these guys will defend Ashley all the way to the 3rd division mate, just so long as he doesn't "embarrass" them. Unbelievable isn't it. So I take it your suggestion for an NUSC banner would be something like "INVESTORS! GIVE US LOADS OF MONEY, BUT DON'T EXPECT ANYTHING BACK!" with a tiny, tiny little bit at the bottom saying unless you're a hall or shepherd, in which case take 146m

Facts are facts - NOBODY wished this on Joe Kinnear, but its happened - the club needs to stay in the Prem and every action should be taken to ensure this... Whether he was the best man for the job has been questioned by many, myself included, but it doesn't mean we want him dead... i'm not gonna apologise for fuck all, has been a total joke and he needs to be moved on from the position of NUFC manager, his ill health doesn't change my opinion one iota do i have any ill will toward him, no...but i hope he never darkens the doors of SJP in a managerial capacity fingers crossed though joe -
Semantics, maybe. Probably. Just seems a stupid thing to say considering it's the entire basis of Keegan's claims against them. is it? what did i miss?
