  1. If you come up and we fly over we should get drunk
  2. You just said we should look at Potter's past history in Sweden, yet we're not meant to look at OGS'. That's my issue with it all. Not comparing their current situations. Fwiw I can see what OGS is doing as it's the same as what he did at Molde to great success, his issue has always been never having a proper plan b.
  3. Anyone know if there's still tickets available for the Spurs game? We want to fly in for it.
  4. I wasn't having a go at you, just stating the double standards in saying Potter is great because he did great in Sweden when OGS has never accomplished anything in his career and he established a club that had never won the league in over a hundred years of playing into knocking the Norwegian equalent of Celtic off their perch and becoming the dominant force and going into European competitions.
  5. So doing well in Scandinavia means you're a good manager? I thought managing with success in Scandinavia was a joke and not something to say made someone good?
  6. My fiance better be prepared to wear a Newcastle shirt in all her social media content today to celebrate

  8. OGS plays a high-pressing counter attacking system, which he has done his entire managerial career with some minor alterations here and there. He has a clear chosen style of play and what criticism can be leveled against him is that he far too often doesn't have a great plan B when his preferred system doesn't work. Then again you can say the same for Pep who can't do a plan B for shit and never has done. His style will be very different to the expansive style of Pep or the gegenpress of Klopp or the defensive approach of Tuchel. Those three again, when compared against each other, would also have very different styles. It doesn't mean they don't have a tactical approach - it just means it differs from the people you compare them to. Not going to go into a defensive shouting match here but it's nonsense to say OGS doesn't have a preferred style of play that he tries to implement on his players. I've had the misfortune of watching him manage Molde for far too long.
  9. The house on Bodø/Glimt -1
  10. 43 - 3 in goal attempts 4 - 1 scoreline kill iz
  11. Ødegaard is such a liability.
  12. OGS said to Norwegian TV just moments ago that Ronaldo will be in the squad fwiw.
  13. He didn't sign as he can't be registered for them, doesn't hold a EU passport.
  14. Martin Ødegaard should not be starting for Norway let alone be the fucking captain, it's a shambles and I just had to post this opinion somewhere Note that Ødegaard is absolutely a good enough player to start for Norway, just that there is no room for his style in our starting eleven as we can't hold the ball enough to need a playmaker in the centre. We need someone that can run box to box and pressure opponents and kick the ball quickly to Haaland.
  15. Turns out he can't be registered to actually play for them because he doesn't hold a EU passport
  16. How did I just find out we signed a US-Mexican striker named Santiago Munez on deadline day? Are we all just being trolled now?
  17. I am jinxing this and I don't care
  18. I have bet far too much on Norway, as per my usual issues.
  19. We under perform as fuck because we never hire a manager that plays the most effective kind of football for our pool of players. We have extremely shit managerial talent to pick from if we absolutely have to have a Norwegian manager. Solbakken will want the players to play "his" style of football even when we don't have the players available for that. Kjetil Rekdal, as much as I dislike him, would likely be the only one I can think of which would play to the strengths of the available talent rather than force everyone into a system they don't fit.
