You would be desperate to keep Ramsey? He’s midtable through and through IMO. Fine as a squad player but the teams we’re trying to compete with wouldn’t give him a second look.
-
Their mediocre players are mediocre but scrappy and hardworking, ours are mediocre and flimsy. I think a lot of our squad are basically good midtable players when on form, and invisible when not on form. Ideally when not on form, the work rate and physicality would still be there. It’s possible that only Bruno and Hall are more than that. Possibly Livramento, though he’s more limited than Hall technically. Joelinton and Tonali can influence games at a high level but also have their limitations. The rest are midtable or below IMO. We need a serious cull.
-
Our CEO probably thinks it was an extraordinary result.
-
I expect they would want him based on previous years tbf. I’d rather he stayed but he’s had a really poor season and probably needs to rethink his methods.
-
Eddie can stay, but I expect zero loyalty and sentimentality in the summer. The squad needs torn up. Someone said it in the match thread, how the fuck is Joe Willock still playing for us 5 years into a takeover.
-
Zero quality in the front three. Non-existent midfield. And a back 5 that is going backwards year on year. It’s been bad pretty much all season apart from the odd game. And it makes no difference if there’s no midweek game, the weaknesses are ingrained.

We’re pretty shit. All we have is athleticism.
-
Hard to see us scoring. I have a bad feeling we’re just going to be sat back for the rest of the game.
-
Palmer has turned into one of the worst divers in the game.
-
I don’t know how Burnley aren’t bottom, they’ve been abysmal shite all season. One of the worst premier league sides I’ve seen.
-
I’d be shocked if Gordon doesn’t start up front tomorrow.
-
How can Minecraft head complain about that.
-
We wouldn’t get that pen.

For footballs entire history clubs have gone from also rans to competing for trophies through investors. How does a club do that now, or in 10 years, or in 20 years. It’s not possible with the current rules. Without the ability for clubs to progress to the top, the sport is a zombie. I understand people don’t like oligarchs etc. Fine, let’s level the playing field so that we’re all operating with a similar budget. I’m sure that will be agreeable.

I wonder how much more than £50m Brentford would want for Thiago. Not that we’ll be spending anything like that on a striker unless we sell Woltemade.
-
I don’t particularly care about Man U. It would be like caring about McDonalds or Primark. My problem would be us getting picked apart by our competition when we should have the resources to beat them. This situation is only a problem because of the financial rules. It would be a demonstration of the argument that football has been killed as a competitive sport. Why watch a sport that is going to be dominated by the same small group for the rest of our lives?
-
He could win everything at Madrid and their tourist fanbase will barely remember him a day after he leaves. I’m not saying it would be a bad career move, but the sport is shit. Everything ends up with those that appreciate it the least.
-
Surely at some point we’ve got to question why we bother watching and caring about the sport.
-
I doubt this one. Who knows what the approach of the people running the club is though. They might look to cash in on valuable 29 year olds and don’t really care where they go. Our CEO thinks not buying improvements is an “extraordinary” window.
-
Another extraordinary transfer window to go with January then.
-
I can see him getting loaned out to a Turkish side in the summer. I reckon if we were offered close to our money back for both Wissa and Woltemade Howe would say yes immediately. I don’t think we’ll sell either, but we’ll look to free up a squad place with a loan.
-
We gave it a good go for 3/4 of the tie, but realistically we’re a midtable side this season and there’s a big difference in quality between us and Barca. I don’t really have any complaints.
-
I agree the Europa League is easier to win these days, and the winner gets a champions league spot. Why would we not want that?
-
The reward for winning the Europa league is huge anyway, bigger than the FA Cup or League Cup. I’d also argue we have a better chance of winning the Europa League than finishing top 4/5 in the premier league.
