  1. Obviously there are 3 teams that should be above them, but they've had a net spend over the last 5 seasons of £90m, not to mention the amount they can pay in wages. I can't see this as some sort of underdog story.
  2. They've hardly done it on the cheap.
  3. Not right now, but at a club that doesn't have poundland coaches he would improve, I expect Ronaldo is right that Buffon is going nowhere though.
  4. It would be a great opportunity for him, I bet he would make big improvements at a club like that aswell.

True, this would be like a dog pissing on an unconscious tramp, still though if you hate the tramp......

Teams usually get a points deduction even if it's just for 1 games, they do it for 4 games and they get a secretive fine?!
  7. I don't know how you people have got the energy, I gave up on this thread a year and a half ago. He's not going to be sacked because his appointment has nothing to do with football, you've just got to be patient, save your money, and wait for this era to end.
  8. When everyone is playing shit like this it's pretty clear that they haven't been properly prepared for the game.

Just had a look at their fixture list, this lot are fucked.
  10. American sports are way ahead of us when it comes to having a proper competition. Only been to NBA, but the experience was much more about entertainment, consumption and the event in itself rather than passionate support for either team. Well they have a different culture, they have a concert in the middle of the Superbowl which delays the 2nd half by 20 minutes. In terms of competition though ours is too warped financially to really be called sport IMO, it's ironic that the Americans recognise that financial equality is needed but us socialists in Europe are going the other way, we even have clubs being run by nation states.

  12. Could always hire Larry Middleman http://www.hwdyk.com/q/images/ad_3_3_3.jpghttp://cdn.pastemagazine.com/www/blogs/lists/Surrogate.jpg
  13. OMG it's like the Oscar Pistorius trial.
  14. We crumble in pressure games, like fuck could we win a semi or quarter final against anyone.
  15. Well football is a strange sport, on the one hand any sort of physical contact or aggression is treated like this, and on the other it's the only sport where players are allowed to eff and jeff at the officials every 5 seconds, i've even seen players touching them, pulling their arms etc. It is a silly game.
  16. The man that gouged someones eye on the touchlines is ofcourse going to defend the man that rubbed his forehead on someone.
  17. We should bring back Joe as caretaker.
  18. It's all getting a bit silly really. I voted yes in this poll when it was made because I'd like to see him sacked, but really it's a bit of a nothing incident that deserves a punishment slightly worse than what a player would get, although i'm not sure what that means seeing as the FA took no action against Shelvey. The guy just lost his temper briefly after being pushed, and he didn't chin anyone.
  19. Also pushed a linesman over. Not over. tbf we didn't see that whole incident, he waited for the lino in the tunnel and suplexed him through a table.
  20. I don't think he has faith in his own ability. I honestly think if he walked he would find another PL job, albeit with some relegation fodder, the press refuse to turn on him and think he has done well here overall, outside of Newcastle his stock is doing ok. So why doesn't he walk? He must feel embarrassed having to lie and be Ashley's mug, most managers wouldn't put up with it. I think him knowing that he won't succeed elsewhere is what keeps him here.
