How? did you see anything from him to suggest that he can hold a place in the team and not make us look weaker if our main players get injured?
-
He looks a championship footballer at best and it doesn't make much sense holding on to him now that we have a fit Targett and Botman.

Villa agree deal to buy Malen.
-
Disappointed not to see him start yesterday, it was a a perfect game to give him some playing time.
-
Signing him made sense when we did and he was superb in his first season with us, i remember saying that he always give you a solid performance in any game and don't recall him having many bad games with us, he was just unlucky with injuries and rotations but he can still play a role.

Looked so rusty, was disappointed with his crosses considering he had so many chances to put in a good ball.

Will Osula: Goal vs Man United nominated for PL Goal of the Season
Newcastle Fan replied to a topic in Football
Very pleased for him, he works very hard but sometimes he seems like he has a confidence problem, that was a superb goal and it showed us and maybe even him what he's capable of doing. -
I don't mind him having the confidence to take a player on and trying to make thing happen, they experienced guy on the other side was doing neither. He does look raw and i think he would do great if we loan him out to a decent euro club

Lewis Miley: signs six-year contract extension (Official)

No way i would loan him out, he's proved himself at the highest level with us even in the Champions league, he is ready to play and be part of our first team. -
Regardless of how he plays second half, the only thing playing him this season is doing is hindering the progress of younger players who might eventually become much better than this waste of space.

Him, Joelinton and Schar looked like the only two senior players out there first half, the rest can fuck off -
Looks determined to end his career with us tonight.

What a player this boy is.

Think it's balanced enough to win easy, hopefully we get to see Sanusi at some point. Surprised Joelinton is starting, also feel like there was need for Dubravka to start this one but aside from that its pretty much the predicted line up. -

Quite excited about this one to be honest, mostly because we'll get to give a run-out to the wider squad and get them a bit fitter for the busy period and that the senior players will finally get some rest. I would go Vlachodimos Targett Botman/Schar Kelly Tripps Longstaff Miley Willock Barnes Sanusi Ousula No point in playing Almiron as he's been terrible every time he's been on the pitch, have a feeling Bruno might want to be involved in this one after missing out in Arsenal. -
Who would you drop for him to play? both Schar and Burn have been outstanding and they complement each other.

Martin Dúbravka (now playing for Burnley)

Wouldn't want Trafford to be honest, i'm happy to give Vlachodimos his chance as he's Greece's number one GK and looked decent whenever i've seen him for us. and we got Ruddy as third choice. -

Now the real question is where we go from here? with the fixtures coming in fast i think its a good thing that we can rotate and have cover in case someone gets injured, ideally there is no reason to keep playing him once Schar and Burn are back and we can afford to give him some rest to continue getting to full fitness, i would play Botman in the FA cup and rest him for the league game against Wolves.
-
Thought yesterday was a difficult game for him, for once i saw him get out muscled and not able to fully force himself against their midfield like he usually does, also its clear he's playing with an injured shoulder, i think he will benefit from resting the next game to be ready for Wolves.

It will be mad to sell him right now, PSR or no PSR, we need to keep him until Pope is back. -
Was disappointed with him today, wasn't his best on the ball, hope he can play again in the FA cup and maybe we'll see a better version of him.

Martinelli might fake an injury to avoid seeing him again in February
