Both of these St Etienne ones are awesome The first one is basically the Nigeria kit. Neither are anything special.

Surely some team in La Liga will buy him. I mean he's worth it, considering we won't be looking for any kind of serious fee.
-
Who the hell would get sympathy from blaming the fans? Also, he's probaly more concerned about not getting the chance to even bloody play.

i assume that's us paying sevilla 6m to take him off us? I'm no expert but that sounds like s**** business. lmao ha ha gud 1 m8 Aye whatever, we paid £10-12m for a guy that did well in the Spanish league. We won't get much/any interest from Premiership clubs but I'd be surpised if we only managed to get £4m or whatever back this summer from a Spanish club. Spanish clubs are alot more frugal than English ones. They generally don't go around throwing massive amounts for average players. Real Madrid are an exception, before anyone decides to get smart, they are on an entirely different set of rules. Fair point but do you see Collocini going for as little as £4m to a Spanish club? He's worth more than that, but we'll not get his worth. The bottom line is that we cannot afford to employ this player next season. We have to get rid of him. Everybody knows this, so why bid a fair amount. We are in an unfair position. Same goes for the likes of Martins, Bassong, Jonas, etc.

It's not f**** likely. You can go f*** yourself man. Will be interesting and close between us and Tunisia. Of all the African powerhouses, Egypt and Cameroon are in the biggest trouble. Both of them have collected 1 point from the two matches and Cameroon have failed to score a goal.

This sort of thing needs to be done on a case to case basis. It's ludicrous that random Nigerian can just go and play for countries like Qatar or UAE, while players with Nigerian blood like Shola Ameobi (god forbid) or Carlton Cole (before his England cap) are barred from playing for Nigeria. Obrainak is a decent little player. Pretty skillful and has shown a good shot before. I don't watch enough of Lille to tell whether he's been consistent, etc. but he was electric in the first half of last season. Scored something like 9 goals.

Chelsea won't give Deco because don't want Deco. Bayen seems to be doing this out of pettiness and want to hurt Chelsea. Chelsea probaly wouldn't be willing for it to be Mikel becuase he plays most matches/wouldn't go to Germany/might be at Inter next season. Really, I don't think they need to be getting rid of the best right back as they just recently solved that issue. Especially as that Serb right back might leave too.

Nigeria 1 France 0. I know it's a friendly, but whatever I need something to cheer me up.

Some players are better off at smaller, less pressurized clubs. I think Cassano is one of them. He'd be best off seeing out his career at Sampdoria.

One for me o?! In a country of 165 million there's bound to be a few nutters Honestly, I'm disgusted by this though. I don't care if some crazed idiot tops himself over trivialities like this, but when innocents become involved it really angers me. These people were just enjoying and cherishing their football like the majority of us males in the world do and some madman has given them this undignified death that wil be stuck in the papers for those in the "first world" to laugh at. Honestly Tooj, I think there is a much football violence in the rest of the world as there is in places like England, but when you are talking of places wheqre order is not expected and lawlessness is common place the scale of any violence will be larger. This is probaly the same reason there is such violence in South America or even Italy. -
Never seen him play but I think he was top scorer in France last year. Really come on this season after being absolutely terrible last season (not totally his fault as Toulouse were garbage last year). On his form this year he'd be a good buy for anyone. Good runner, strong on the ball, and has a great shot on him. How much money do Villa have to spend though? He's signifcantly better and younger than Elmander was. And he wasn't cheap. Martins would be a better fit for Everton than Obinna (better of in Italy or Spain) imo. Really think he could provide something your team doesn't have and unlike Newcastle, if he's playing s*** you have the squad depth to place him on the bench, put in another striker or revert to 4-5-1. Wouldn't have to be the main man either, which is good for weakminded players like him. Probaly available at a knockdown price as well.

The greatest of a team is defined over more than one season though isn't it? -

Man U didn't have the players to physically dominate in midfield like Chelsea did. Their defenders were surprisingly shaky as well. Weak performance. I'd be f**** angry if I was a Chelsea player though. -

? You mean like when he scored a vital goal in the final against Arsenal? I'm picking Barca to take this. 1-0 Henry 38' -
Nothing good about a "big club" going down. Football is just more fun when the teams with big fanbases and great histories are battling each other. Newcastle-Leeds is always going to be a more exciting occasion than Newcastle-Wigan. Still I didn't feel bad when Leeds fell off, because they had fully earned it. I think that's the way sensible fans will feel about us if it happens. It will not be a good thing to see us down, but the club have fully earned it with years of ineptitude under two different ownerships and a ludicrous number of managers. I do feel bad when clubs try to be ambitious and it just falls apart. Like with Real Zaragoza or Lens last year. Especially if it is a decent club with a past.

Bassong: 'I want to leave for my career and my future'
Segun Oluwaniyi replied to Dave's topic in Football
me, pretty poor tbh he's achieved precisely nothing in the game and appears not to be particularly willing to stick around for a season to help get us back up, can't recall there being a queue beating a path to his door when he was relegated last season myself he's a symptom of the wider disease in football, they think they've made it before they have - i was hoping for more from him, at 22 or whatever he is it's hardly like it'd be his last chance of a move is it? Sucessful top flight clubs (Everton, Lille) were after him after last season and even more successful top flight club will be after him if we go down. He has absolutely no reason to play in the Championship and if he leaves for that reason I will have nothing against him. -
Both Liverpool and Chelsea should be ashamed that they have let Man U win the title these last two seasons.
-
Nonsense. He's a twenty two year old man and this is his fourth season of seeing significant action at a high level of football. ITt's poor defending and that's an even poorer excuse.
-
Idiot.
