  1. The manager is fucking shite. Can we sign Robson Kanu?

    England

Shearer has spoken the most sense out of anyone about England.
  3. I think they can, Belgium struggled against teams that play a disciplined back 3 against them. Wales need to be brave and get the wingbacks free though, Hazard and Mertens won't track.

    Andros Townsend

Townsend isn't a mercenary cunt for leaving, he's just made a terrible career choice in believing the spin of the King. Pretty much like the average Brexit voter. However to suggest Pardew isn't one of the key people responsible for our relegation suggests severe mental deficiencies.
  5. He's played almost exclusively on the right for Bournemouth, so seems to be a straight replacement for Townsend.
  6. He'd played a handful on the left but as you say mostly on the right. It's more as I said at the time that he's just not a good fit for how Pochettino likes his 'wingers' to play. i.e. not like proper wingers.
  7. Rickie Lambert looks like a nice chap, should go for him instead I think.
  8. That didn't happen though. I was keen to give the lad a chance and not hold where he came from against him, very small time mentality iyam... And for a couple of games looked a decent rotational pick... However that became progressively worse as it went on. I tried to give riviere the same chance (because I have been accused for not giving players a chance because of the being 'forrin') but my patience ran out after 2 games People still down on English players and Townsend suffered from that, Ritchie won't get the same due to Rafa being the man bringing him in but had this been a mcClaren signing s*** would have hit the fan, same with Gayle. It was more to do with the fact Townsend didn't look nowhere this level of player for Spurs, even when he was nailed on starter his only goal was a overhit free kick which clearly was meant to be a cross. The rest of his performances were basically cut inside and shoot but never score. I mean he scored more for us in 13 games than he did for Spurs in 50, has f*** all to do with him being English he just never showed anything like this form for Spurs and to try and suggest he did is nothing but revisionist history. That's rubbish, I was one of a few who thought he'd go on to be a good signing. That was based on his performances for Spurs, QPR and England that I'd seen at the time. Everyone else took one blanket look at the fact he wasn't getting a game for Spurs and decided he was shite.

You won't find many that are disappointed about that.

Did you know that footballers get paid more than firefighters?
  11. At Palace he played under Tony Pulis, Colin and then our very own Pards, so chances aren't exactly going to be at a premium.
  12. Dummett will be absolutely fine in this league, some reliable cover for him would be nice though. This whole summer so far just smacks of Rafa. Competence and ambition.
  13. Ritchie will be class in the Championship, old school winger who gets by players without having genuine pace.
  14. Everyone from Peterborough seems to think Dwight Gayle is talented enough to be in the Champions League, so we'd better they aren't just talking him up to get some sell on money.

Iceland's 'wingers' were on the wrong sides too though, left footed right mid and vice versa. Same with Leicester this season actually. The different is tactics and players willing to work and run. I hate the PFM rhetoric as much as anyone but I don't think they'd do a particularly worse job than Woy's sack of shit.
  17. That second half from Rooney was the worst performance I've ever seen from an England 'midfielder'. Stupid pube-headed fuck.

    England

I'd rather not see Rooney at all, time to fuck off and retire. For 10 years the national team has been built around 'how to get the best out of Wayne Rooney', look where that's got us. Pick players in their actual positions.

    England

There's an obsession in English football with individuals and has been for years to the detriment of the team. Before the tournament the opinions were being voiced 'Roy has to start Kane, Vardy, Rooney in the same side' etc. Those opinions and voices were wrong, the fact is that those 3 players starting does not benefit the side as a whole. The most obvious example is the Gerrard v Lampard debate. What we needed were strong tactics, team balance and intensity. We got none of that.

The attention to tactics in Italy is fantastic too. We don't do that in this country from players to managers to media.

That second half is possibly the worst managerial performance I've ever seen. No plan, no tactics, no subs, the wrong team, no organisation, no set penis', just nothing. Pellegrini isn't the right man for it, just let Yaya Toure get away with that shite vs Real.
  22. It was so obvious what the problems were, same as it was against Wales and Russia. Not getting the ball into dangerous areas quickly enough, and not attacking with the required level of intensity. Without Alli and Rooney there wasn't a CM willing to be the 3rd man runner, or even to dribble forward themselves. Basically passed the ball around the defence until Slovakia retreated into their 11 men behind the ball shape. But then you look at the stats, 29 shots with only 5 on target, there's only so much blame you can put on a manager for players not taking their chances.
  23. Apologies and congratulations to the people of Wales.
  24. Wales are lucky as fuck to have played Slovakia and Russia in games where both of those sides needed to come out and attack. Perfect to soak and then feed Bale.
  25. He thought Henderson did well, so his opinion means nothing to me.
