  1. He really doesn't. I'm a bit obsessed with how our build up play is so bad, and always watch our midfield. 95% of the time our struggles to move the ball are down to him. Catch a replay of the game later and just watch Colback. You will get so angry I promise you. I was shouting at him enough during the game. The frustrating thing is that technically he's not a bad player, it just translates into fuck all.
  2. Has some decent basic abilities but makes far too many shit decisions during games.
  3. Poor first half, came out second half playing like a wounded animal. Needs that fire in his game to be properly effective.
  4. Sissoko second half was absolutely outstanding, and I'm generally critical of him. Perez was disappointingly quiet by his normal high standards.

    Florian Thauvin

Why does he give a shit what the fans think. I'd tell them all to fuck off and carry on playing the way I want regardless. It's the manager and his teammates he needs to impress, not the fans. Those 3 should come hand in hand, put there's a lot of fucking spanners out there so who knows.
  6. I get the feeling Townsend just prefers to follow his left foot wherever that takes him, inevitably on the right it's inside, on the left it's down the line. I've seen him play much more in the 'traditional' winger mould of hitting the line and crossing so he definitely can play on the left.
  7. He's never had a consistent run on either wing, we'd be gambling on potential again.
  8. The legality of that 'clause' would be impossible to maintain as well McClaren could just say he didn't look fully fit in training and there you go.
  9. Whoscored reckons his best attributes are tackling, aerial strength, defensive contribution and holding onto the ball. Sounds like a Tiote replccement if you look solely at that.
  10. He actually passes the ball forwards which is a start. I like Shelvey as a ball player because he isn't afraid to take risks. Not the same endless drivel recycling the ball for no good reason.
  11. What type of CM is he? I'd assume box to box?

    Steve McClaren

The squad is generally absolute shite, but McClaren just hasn't been able to get anything out of them. It's a real shame, I had some hope at the start of this year.
  13. The logic being we were linked in the summer and are after a striker. Nice easy story to fill space without actually doing any journalism And the fact our recent strategy is to hound players we are interested in window after window until they lose enough form to change their mind and sign for us.
  14. To get the best out of those players you need to allow them the creative scope to be a maverick. That needs a strong spine with great organisation. The only time we've come close to having this recently was with prime Colo, Tiote, Cabaye and Ba in the side, and Pardew wasted all that talent. That spine has all moved on or gone to shit and we haven't come anywhere near to replacing it. A spine has to be good players in the prime of their careers. We don't have anyone who's currently in that 'prime' stage. They're all wantaways, washed up, shit or kids. It's a total shambles.
  15. He did manage Cabella though, who was arguably the more talented player. If he had managed Thauvin the lad would probably be stacking shelves in Tesco by now. Going from what we know they both appear totally unsuited to the Premier League at this stage of their careers. A job well done once again by Graham Carr. Who'd have thought signing players who don't have a position wouldn't work well in a side that hasn't had a philosophy in terms of style or formation in about 12 years.
  16. The club's trasfer policy is so fucking flawed it makes me angry. Not angry in a sense of loving the club, but angry in the sense it's just so stupid and makes absolutely no business sense. Inside Charnley's head it must just be thousands of flies buzzing around his fucking pile of shit for a brain.
  17. Absolutely reeks of 'we tried' so that it gives the club an excuse to not spend the money on Austin. Shambles.

    Steve McClaren

I mean that we've looked the same (shit) whichever two have played from Colback, Anita, Tiote and Wijnaldum. And regarding formations, the 4-4-2 / 4-4-1-1 has been the most successful, so I can see the logic for sticking with it. 4-2-3-1 and 4-3-3 were both shite, which leaves 3 at the back or a diamond? Why? Gini has looked shit in limited time centrally, doesn't really have the skillset to be a Cabaye type player and it takes away his freedom to make runs in the final third. Sissoko is fucking thick defensively and can't pass it 5 yards. Plus similarly to Gini it takes away from his greatest skill of making those driving runs into the final third.

Alternatives have been tried and haven't worked. Gini in the centre is not an option, neither is Sissoko. Therefore you have 2 from Colback, Anita or Tiote. So basically we need new CM's.

Two defensive midfielders agai and getting dominated in the middle of the park again - cruel winner but let's be honest only one team deserved to win that match. Sick and tried of seeing this joke of a manager making the same mistakes week after week. I'm more sick and tired of you posting the same comment in this thread game after game.
  21. What an absolute sucker punch that was today. We played like an abused wife for the first 20 minutes, but then had the better chances in the second half. Point would have been a fair result on the balance of it, but we did not play well at all.
