Becasue a large number of employed Football managers are uneducated former players, who in Steve Bruce's case especially, have received a large number of knocks to the head. These retards are so fixed in their stone age ways, they see no place for talented mavericks who don't conform to the 'work rate', 'ethic' or other buzzword bollocks.

Do you think so? Has he done anything more than just not sign? I should have said, 'Sterling and his advisors have behaved appalingly'. But yes, there are ways of doing things and this isn't the right way. I mean, every single interview the guy has done makes him look progressively worse.
-
Sterling has behaved appalingly, how anyone can defend him is beyond me. Carragher and Neville were spot on.
-
Hull used him in a variety of positions within a direct 3-5-2 so anyone thinking that's the best use of HBA's talent needs a crack on the head.

Nah, Abeid has noticeably dropped of performance wise to how he was playing in that spell. Playing as the holder brought the best of him, with sissoko on the right and colback on the left. Abeid appeared to have the toughest skill of all which is that of controlling the game, just 'knowing' where the ball needs to go next and appreciating the space around him. It's what Michael Carrick has, Andrea Pirlo, the great holders. Just watch the way they manipulate the ball around like a silent conductor. It's glorious.

He's not specifically the problem, but definitely not the solution. He's treading water, doing just enough to get by. You can point to goals and assists, those are 10 or so 'moments' in a season. He's a moments player, doing absolutely fuck all the rest of the time. During his 6 game spell Abeid showed the ability to control the game, something we have lacked ever since. With Carvjew the policy is to throw enough shit at the wall and hope some sticks. that's why he wants 11 Jack Colbacks.

Such a weak weasel of a man, just getting hounded into doing stuff. Pathetic stuff. He does have an uncanny resemblance to a weasel, just with a more shriveled face.
-
Christ this referee is the worst I've ever seen. No objection to him getting punched by Costa before 90 minutes is up.

If the sports direct brand was a footballer, it would be this guy.
-
Well that's ruined my evening. £650 acca lost because of that.

What an awful finish

I can understand why both Jonas and Riviere start but starting Ryan Taylor continues to be a mystery. -
Why are Stabaek 7/1 if they are supposed to win big? I need some enlightenment!
-
He's a talented player, but his contribution when not in possession was downright offensive.
-
As I said 6 months ago, he's already the best in the squad at 'defending'. But ultimately he's not good enough on the ball to be a left back, although he's Tony Pulis' wet dream at the position.
-
As blokes, most of them come across as pretty sound, which is basically part of the problem. I can't detest someone just for being quite average as a footballer
-
Having our best defender playing at CB helped too.
-
We were helped by a West Brom side that showed no ambition to get anything other than a draw, and put no pressure on our defence.
-
He cares, you can see that much at least.

Pep's version was fantastic no doubt, but they spent 90 minutes toying with the opposition when it just felt like they never went full throttle, especially on a European stage. Perhaps i'm confusing them with Spain (or Barca minus Messi). Actually F**k it, the team that beat Man Utd in circa 2008 were truly fantastic.
-
That was better than the Barca of the Pep era. Less perfect, but more effective. Gorgeous to watch.

It's telling he doesn't mention Carver once, think Monday morning at training could be interesting. Its a regulation counter attack foul, career ending ffs. It's stupid yes and I can understand the thinking that he's bottled it but is it dangerous? hell fucking no.
-
I hope Williamson comes out and roasts Carver to shit in the press.

If this guy loved the club as much as he and everyone in the media likes to say, then he would have resigned on the spot after the Sunderland game. It's like someone with no medical qualifications insisting on doing his wife's heart transplant because he loves her so much, while he slowly manages to butcher most of her internal organs. Give it up for fucks sake.
