  1. Front man who can take a chance and hold up play is absolute must now. If we’ve got the cash January is the time to throw money on a striker and the defence in general. Loan to buy if necessary (if we miraculously stay up). It’s a huge window coming up, we’ll soon know if we’re going to give it a go.
  2. Thought he was generally sloppy in possession and struggled to make any impact. Gave the ball away far too much.
  3. Ronaldo knew exactly what he was doing. Pretty much right in front of me and he took Fraser out, completely blindsided him, Fraser had no idea that Ronaldo was going to launch into him like that. Cheap shot. Fraser played well last night, looked much fitter.

Great yesterday. What remains baffling is that we bought the lad and tried for over a season, nearly 2, to make him into a striker when it was patently obvious very early on he wasn’t a striker or a goal scorer. He showed this again last night, he can’t finish and he doesn’t have the instinct, there was a great chance late on when there was a cut back to him in the middle of goals and the defender got in front of him. Anywhere else on the pitch and he’d have got there. If you look at the lads size, mobility (limitations) and his willingness to cover ground it’s pretty amazing it’s taken until now to find his position. WTF have they been doing in training, I’d kinda assumed they’d messed around with positions and that he’d been caught in possession and given the ball away constantly in practice. He was motm by a distance last night.
  5. We need to send half our team to a Covid party tbh. Just to see us through the transfer window
  6. TV companies are actually paying Gallagher to talk shit? Even Mikky Owen thinks it was probably a penalty ‘cos it was the same phase of play…..?
  7. We need a completely new back 4 and a defensive coach. We need lots of other positions as well but this defense will take us down.
  8. It’s fine lads seems like it’s ok to take players out so long as your team mate is in control of the ball. Can’t even admit that they’ve got it wrong.
  9. Absolutely, better class of Greggs for a start.
  10. If I were him I wouldn’t want to either.
  11. Haha, I’m just relaying what I’ve been told. I’ll only pass info where I can link the original source, both have come from horse’s mouth to who I’ve spoke with.
  12. So, I was told that Trippier was done from a bloke who used to work on the football side of NUFC and now works for another club with a direct link to Howe. I was then told a couple of days ago from someone on the administrative side of the club (a head of) that they didn’t know about Trippier but that we’d offered silly money to Lingaard with a cheap release if we go down. I get the impression that we’re just going scattergun in the hope we get somewhere.
  13. I’m not going, just not worth the risk, it’s irresponsible that’s it’s going ahead. Several thousands misplaced Mancs crowed around the bars and in with up to 50k others in the ground. Mate says he read a report that said that as few as half a dozen people attending could lead to up to half the crowd being exposed. Sounds a bit of a stretch but nee chance I’m gambling with my Mother’s health or telling her she can’t see her Granddaughter over Christmas or have Christmas dinner with us.
  14. I think there may be a good few missing from the crowd today. My mates aren’t going and I’m in 2 minds. If I go down with Omicron it’ll knack Christmas and with elderly parents it’s not worth it. I honestly believe it should be called off.
  15. Well, if the ball hits your shin and you go down holding your head you should be booked for simulation. Dean took a punt yesterday which a completely different matter.
  16. The big decision was whether to stop play for the equaliser, Dean got that clearly wrong. We don’t get the best of views from tv, it may well have been a free kick to us as their player charged in. Hayden went down holding his head, Dean clearly looks at Hayden at least twice and from a distance of around 12 yards decides it’s either not a head injury or he doesn’t see Hayden holding his head. So, Dean is either qualified on making medical assessments from 12 yards away or is blind as a bat. The rules are there to protect the player, there's no leeway on this, that’s the whole point. Complete joke. We all know Hayden likes an injury but you can’t call bluff and let the game continue.
  17. Dean should have stopped play, he could see Hayden holding his head (no idea if he was hurt), we are terrified in and out of possession and will lose regardless. Dean can’t let play continue just because Liverpool are in good possession when it’s a head injury.
  18. We need to get a DOF in as soon as possible tbh. My source is impeccable and they reckon Howe prefers players he already knows and is stubborn as a mule. Recruitment needs to be taken away from him.
  19. I’ve been told Trippier is all done and that we’re in for Steve Cook from Bournemouth. Also been reliably been informed we’ve had scouts at Luton, Fulham and Hartlepool. Great.
  20. 7 up and a good chunk of the crowd fuck off instead of applauding.
  21. So, what’s fair market value for the richest club in the world based on other deals for earlier richest clubs? You’ve got to take into account potential growth over the length of any deal and avoid actively restricting this growth by denying sponsorship. You can’t judge our current attractiveness with where we were under Ashley. PIF bought us for the potential and the PL have to allow for competition and for clubs to grow.
