    England

So annoyed that I put this in the wrong thread.... I'm still fuming over that performance, I can accept losing to the better team as long as we have given our best. I'd love to know how many misplaced passes and overhit set pieces we hit last night. I can't remember ever seeing so many simple things done so badly. Good luck to Iceland but that result was completely down to our ineptitude, on and off the pitch. It's also getting to something where Pards is second favourite to Southgate to take over. Take a chance on Eddie Howe.

  3. It wasn't at all man, have people just ignored Iceland over the past year or something? Their odds were stupid. I'm sorry but it was, we couldn't pass the ball at all, we had no movement off the ball and moved it too slowly. Two rubbish goals conceded and no idea what to do. Iceland were well organised but they're not a good team.
  4. That was like England losing to a League 2 side. Absolute abject, rotten, pathetic and gutless.
  5. Sorry, but red numbering like this is the dogs bollocks. Simply love it. You love dogs bollocks? With red numbering it's the squirrel's nuts and gopher's gonads. Absolutely love that Nufc shirt.

  7. I've been very impressed by him as well. Doesn't he look like a weirdo? Like some strange forest dwelling person who eats road kill to get by? Reminds me of that Mackem twat Vaughan.
  8. Good luck. Ask the club for a donation, some megaphones and a thousand flares. Then say you'd be happy with just a donation.... It'd be interesting to know if the club would actively contribute to the flags and the idea and not use the meeting to lay down a set of rules that would ruin what you're trying to create.
  9. When you look at the other half of the draw Hodgson deserves huge criticism. Wales could go a long way, fancy Croatia to do very well.
  10. Maybe he meant in normal time, though I know he didn't say that. Meant winning after being behind at half time. I'd just like to add that picking an out of form Sterling with no natural competition for that position should be justification in itself for getting Hodgson the boot. Having said that he'd probably not have had the balls to drop him for Townsend. Will he have the balls to play Vardy centrally?
  11. I fully expect violence from both followed by blanket denial with blame shifted anywhere else - more likely than not any English fan will do, usually the quiet ones. I really wouldn't want to be a normal England fan in Russia. Our Govt will withhold the passports of the hooligans they can and we'll see decent fans kicked to shite with nothing done locally in Russia to protect them.
  12. The majority of England fans are soft targets. They travel in large numbers, get p*ssed up, make a lot of noise and then get kicked to s*** by groups of organised, hard core, sober, hooligans from another country who seem to think that these England fans are the ones to attack to gain their own notoriety or believe that the England fans will get the blame. We've got some right arse holes following us but I've got sympathy for the majority of them. Personally, I'd never travel to a foreign tournament to watch England play as I wouldn't feel safe. That's just wrong.
  13. Thought that was a foul, Giroud knocks the keepers arm with his leading arm.
  14. He'll get spat on and hounded out.
  15. It's a pretty damning indictment that we've had highly paid players training on sub standard indoor surfaces complimented by out dated gym equipment. They cost relative buttons and will pay for themselves in no time at all.
  16. Unless these new owner push Everton pretty rapidly towards the daft spenders then I tend to agree with this. The question should be would Koeman have left Everton for Soton? I doubt it
  17. There's nowt between clubs like Southampton, Leicester, Stoke, Swansea and us, Everton, Villa for example anymore. We're probably more renowned but that's it these days. That's bollocks really, Nufc, Everton and Villa are in a different league to the other four mentioned. Yes, they've all won something more recently than us (as have over 30 other clubs) and they're in the PL but, I'll bet none of those could have swayed a Rafa to have stayed following relegation and none of those could have produced the love our crowd did against Spurs. There's an awful lot wrong with our club but, we've got it, many fans of other clubs deny it, hate it or try and deride it however, the simple fact is that Nufc has got something about it. In the late 70's we really were teetering on becoming second or third rate and Sunderland were for a few seasons the better looking club. We're almost unique and get slated for it, we get accused of being delusion because of it. If Rafa wins something for us I really hope we are fanatical but gracious and then go on to win some more. I've no doubt that the best supporters of any club are as good as our best supporters but don't tell me that as a club that we should consider ourselves with Stoke, Leicester, Soton or Swansea.
  18. The players should have refused to play on that.
  19. Good luck to him. Never fulfilled his potential and was far too injury prone and thick. Whoever takes him on will do well to get more than 20 games a season from him.
