I have plenty of sympathy for him, mostly because we shouldn't have bought him and it should be of no surprise to anyone that he's struggling. I don't think he's suited to the PL especially a team like us. He was bought for all the wrong reasons and it was a transfer that high lighted the absurdity of our transfer policy. It was a transfer which benefitted the transfer makers and they'll be getting more action when we try and move him on.

I can't see him getting sacked and he'll not walk as he'll not get another job. He shouldn't have been offered the job and quite frankly he shouldn't have accepted it after saying no when we were in the shit last year. He didn't fancy it then and he's not shown anything to suggest he can turn things around. Any other club than us and it would be absolutely baffling. We need an inspirational manager and appointed the wally with the brolly. We could do with KK as he was 20 years ago.

If we go down he'll "loan" us more money as our revenue goes down, we'll come back up and be further in his grip. He'll use relegation as a means to saddle us with more debt to him. If we go down we have to stay down so that he actually does have to start putting money into the club which may just force him to sell. A year in The Championship will not be a problem for him, he can use it as a means to reduce operating costs and start at a lower point when we come up. He's got us well and truly fucked.

We don't need 2 new central midfielders, we desparately need a good, imposing, defensive midfielder but more than anything else we need a goal scorer. We're not creating bucket loads of chances (2 new midfielders, ones we could attract aren't going to change that) so we need someone who is more likely to convert those chances. I'd say we need a goal scorer followed by a defensive midfielder (if we can then play 1 defensive man and not 2, that in itself will allow more attacking options) and then a new centre back. It's been said time and time again but the money we spent pre season could and should have resolved all 3 positions.

We currently have far more pressing needs than getting a new left back. If we only make one signing it has to be a goal scorer, for all our other deficiencies if we don't get a goal scorer we are going to struggle to get the goals to see us stop up.

Arsenal were very poor today and we lost. We couldn't beat Villa at home and lost to Everton and West Brom. The teams around us are beating Villa and Norwich and Bournemouth have got themselves some momentum. Bollocks with this we played well and are showing consistency. The only consistency we are showing is an inability to pick up enough points to avoid relegation. McClaren simply has to go. Sack him and see if we can beat Swansea to De Boer.

This thread is a bit of if a car crash. We paid 8 Milliion for a player who would struggle to get into an Umpa Lumpa best 11. Colback aint up to what we need but to suggest that Anita can be anything other than a Jack Russell biting at the opposition ankles is just bollocks.

1 point from the last 3 games is woeful. Time and time again he's shown he has no influence on the level of performance, he should have been peddled months ago. We need a manager who can shake this lot up and keep them at it for 90 minutes no matter who they are up against.

Only saw it at the match but I thought Dummett was fouled by Lakaku when he made the tackle which put the ball out for the corner they scored from. As for the result, we couldn't gave complained if we were 2 or 3 down at HT and Janmaat should have been sent off but, I thought we deserved a point, we were the better side in the 2nd half and we had the better positions in the 2nd half. We were a final ball away from being clean through a number of times and Mitro tried to be too precise with his header, he'd have scored comfortably unless he headed it straight at Howard. We have to start better at West Brom.

Everyone forgetting about Mike Hooper; he really was poor. Pav mentions that KK asked him when he was going to win a game for us just as he was going out in that Liverpool game. KK obviously thought it would inspire him, Pav says it destroyed his confidence and Lpool then scored in the first couple of minutes. Come on Pav; good luck today.

Salford are currently 9/2 to win in normal time, Pools are 7/4. There's only 1 team in it at the moment.
