Absolutely, McClaren is a symptom, Ashley the disease.

This is my post from 19 September. Not trying to be clever but we've been awful for over 2 months now and are actually getting worse.
  3. 4 mates at the Toulouse v Nice game tonight. £10 entry.
  4. Amazing bit of skill. Douglas reckons we don't think he is good enough... Could watch that all night, so good. Some of the skills players have when there's no pressure and are larking around is outrageous.

    Florian Thauvin

He didn't play well when he came on, he went through the motions, as the rest of the team did. The whole lot (I'll leave Elliott out of this) were apathetic of the game today and making up positives of any outfield performance is just wrong. At one point he failed to control a 20 or 30 yard pass to him which a 10 year old would be able to manage; McClaren looked like he was going to explode. He'll not be starting anytime soon.

Said Leicester fan said that McClaren had sold his house well before the end of last season. The bloke I know who works for Fat Sam told me well before that McClaren was coming. Charnley and Carr are solely responsible for hand picking McClaren and sticking with their choice despite his awful run of results at Derby. The club is rotten from top to bottom. McClaren has to go but by god we have deep seated problems.

We are seriously lacking in key areas, Colo is no leader and is past it, we all know that we need a proper defensive midfielder and we have no midfield creativity. That said, we should be able to put out a side that can compete and do their best. There's no team belief or spirit, the manager has no influence over what's happening on the pitch and there's no one one the pitch who can pull the team together. McClaren has to go, we may still get relegated but keeping him will see us simply surrender without trying. I was talking to a Leciester fan on the way home tonight and he simply couldn't believe just how bad we were.

He should have gone weeks ago, the players take absolutely no notice of him. The 2nd half today was absolutely woeful.
  9. They'll be an outcry here but Gibbs had acres of space to attack.
  10. When was he good? He's been praised for his appearance against Bournemouth, I've no idea why, he ran around a bit, lost possession deep in our half at least twice by trying to be clever (which left us out of shape) and instead of going to the corner in the last minute he put in a cross where we had no-one to get on the end of it. He's got an awful lot to improve on, if we had everyone fit, from what little we've seen of them, I'd have Aarons in. I hope Thauvin comes good but he's not quick and he seems to have a heart the size of pea. As for what formation we should play, I think we have to go with what we've got for now and if we can buy a proper, mobile, defensive midfielder in January we can think about trying a diamond shape. If we tried that now we'd look like we weren't playing with a midfield.
  11. I'm confused why so many are picking Thauvin, he's been awful. Unless we're picking teams on how good we think someone should be as opposed to how we've seen them actually perform.
  12. Moyes gone http://www.marca.com/en/2015/11/09/en/football/spanish_football/1447068862.html
  13. He is supposed to be technically good, I don't see it, I do see too many mis placed passes when there's no pressure on him. Only saw it the once but the great chance they had when Mbemba slipped seemed to be as a result of a poor pass.

    Sunderland

I can't decide whether they're trying to wind Nufc fans up with this 6 in a row or whether they believe it is the stuff of dreams. It really is bobbins. I was 15 when I stood in the main stand paddock at Roker Park when Stan Cummins scored the winner when we lost (undeservedly) 1-0. I was 43 when we next lost away to Sunderland to a very late Richardson winner. Granted we haven't played each other every season but there will be grown men who had never seen their team beat us at home until that Richardson goal. Anyway, I hope that bloke has a 1-9 FTM tattoo on his other arm.
