  1. I'm amazed he can get away with that Beannie.
  2. Everton really haven't been very good
  3. Mates are going to Pau at the end of November and are also going to watch a Toulouse home game. They just happen to be playing Nice. Gutted I can't make it.

    Steve McClaren

We were unfortunate yesterday, Sissoko should have scored and we never put them under any real sustained pressure but on most other days we would have won. Trouble is, we can't keep on saying what should have happened, we have picked up 1 point from 6 against very ordinary sides.
  5. He's not mobile enough. You can only really play SDJ in one role and if we do that Wignaldum would need to drop back and we'd be sacrificing his forward threat. We could try a diamond with Tiote at the base, Wignaldum and Sissoko at the sides and SDJ at the top but I think we'd play too narrow and be easily got at. I can't see SDJ getting a starting place any time soon.
  6. We'll play Tiote and he'll be suspended by Christmas, he's not gone 15 minutes without being booked this season has he?
  7. Glad we've got loads of cover at CB..........I'm assuming we can call him back at any time and that this move had all but been agreed prior to Colo winning his appeal. We must be looking to give him some match practice prior to Colo picking up his customary pre Christmas injury.
  8. It wasn't a blatant penalty, unnecessarily forceful, but I've seen plenty not given. Stupid all the same. The red card was a joke, if there is any doubt he should stay on. I'd be interested to know the referee take on it, if he says it was a push then fair enough, if he says it was obstruction as Colo wasn't in control of the ball then he needs to look at Cattermole's defending 30 seconds earlier.
  9. I completely agree, unfortunately, we thought buying Thauvin was a more pressing requirement. That said, I've no idea why he's getting stick today for doing what he'd no doubt been told to do by McClaren. McClaren told him not to have any positive impact on the game whatsoever? That's poor management imo. You don't half spout some shite

  11. What did Colback do wrong today? He should had done better with that shot, I've no problem with him not passing it and other than that he did fine in a first half we completely controlled and where he had to be disciplined as Tiote had been booked. He then got clattered and had to go off. Did anyone see Anita place a 10 yard pass straight into touch? Colback's fault.
  12. He did ok today, the first foul (stamp according to Quinn) was nothing, as was the second, but he shouldn't have made it so soon after the first. The fact the Clattermole spent most of the afternoon kicking through players without picking up a yellow has double standards all over it. The ref ignored some of Clattermole's cheap clips completely.
  13. The referee had a mare today, they must have committed 10 or so fouls within the first 15 minutes, Tiote gets booked for a second foul solely because it was so soon after the first one (not trying to defend him), they continue to commit fouls without any bookings allowing Clattermole to make challenges he otherwise couldn't risk on a yellow. The penalty has been done to death but the referees general performance was very poor.

He is, a lot of the back room staff left before Allardyce left as they all knew Allardyce was gone. I was using McDonald as an example, Allardyce was in no rush to get another job and you have to wonder what he'll be like if things don't start well. Bracewell has his feet well under the table there, Allardyce likes to be surrounded be people he knows and trusts. He hasn't got that there.

Allardyce hasn't approached any of his old staff, Neil McDonald used to do a hell of a lot of the behind the scenes work at West Ham yet Bracewell has been given the job. No idea what Short has told Allardyce but if things don't start well, don't expect them to improve.
